TBH I am hoping he takes the left side in first grade. I hope he kills it playing against the Storm. I enjoy seeing our juniors get a go in FG.

Same thing. All the great players have to start somewhere and then go through the learning process.
I remember when SJ was coming into FG many thought he was too young and too small
Same thing in my day with Dennis Williams.
Went on a tour of Gb with the Kiwis and filled in at 6 in the first test due to injuries.
First touch saw him score under the posts after about two minutes. Iirc

No I didn't attend school with Bruce however that would have been interesting.
In Bruce's day they wore the old lace up guernseys.
My day we were far more advanced with rubber buttons and plastic studs.

Couple of close ones in there. The one where Papali’i was penalised at the end was a big effort with Tohu in the halves. We deserved to win that

The Sharks hadn't on a round 1 game outside of Sydney/NSW or some other stat for 10 years. That changed on the weekend.

Our record against the Storm the last 10 years is terrible, especially considering we were their bogey team under Cleary and a few years after he left.

The Weekend would be a good weekend to turn it around. We want to repeat last years performances. Or at least the standard of performance.

Some wins against the Storm, Roosters, Souths, Panthers would be nice as confidence boosters. It seems like a few teams we have trouble against.

Laban looked good in the trials so if he debuts it is earned. If we want to be a development club we need the young players waiting for an opportunity and we need the confidence to give them an opportunity.

Coming off a better performance it would full me with a bit more confidence with us debuting someone in a tough assignment. More as it would be a case of worrying about his role as the guys inside and outside him would be doing their job.

Hopefully we bounce back like last year. Will that lead to a win? Well that will have to wait for the weekend.

They didn't do badly, just lost focus after some injuries and a run of calls. Things we didn't let us affect us last year.

Any other year we probably would have taken that result, this year our expectations are higher.

Not a bad thing but let's just retain perspective. First hit out, looked amazing for the first 30.

He wouldn’t bring much. Slightly faster foot speed and a speed bump in defence.

As shown last year, having him on the bench against the better teams doesn’t work. And we’re playing one of the better teams this week. I think NAS is back this week btw, typical.

With the benefit of hindsight, he might have been handy against the sharks (that’s a might). Considering Tom didn’t even get on.

If Webster is only gonna play Bunty for 15-20, I’d rather it be at the beginning of the game.

I dreamed he was a rampaging bull, dragging 3 warriors up the field every carry and offloading at will as he tore our defence apart. He could infringe repeatedly and the ref just laughed as he refused to penalise him. He did cross field bombs just for fun to set up even more tries.

The worst part was that cheeky grin knowing he’s kept the Storms Warrior domination going another year.

Did I really have a nightmare or just watch a replay of any Storm game from the past 5 years? Whatever, this nightmare keeps happening every damn year…
