If media team is reading I think the show is so relaxing it’s ripe for inviting fans to the live show and have family and kids interaction on and/or off screen (sharing stories, surprises etc), could even do shout outs to Cup and pathway players to help generate interests and keep us needs informed.

For a first episode though this is great getting the basics right before expanding like Webby with his attacks 😂

Would be funny when sponsors flow in and SJ starts selling Voltaren and Viagra mid-show

He's very good on Fox league here - him and Cooper Cronk actually know what they are talking about, which is refreshing.

It's a real shame that Cronk has the personality of a jandel. I find him a real hard watch.

Johnson is like a puppy dog, needs to chill a touch. But I appreciate his takes on the game and more casual approach to it all. He'll grow into it.

Episode 2 already an improvement on the first episode - seemed to flow more naturally and feels like they actually took a lot of the points raised by people here on the forum.

I don't mind SJ's enthusiastic personality, but I think they need to pull back on using all the different nicknames for players all the time. Sometimes I'm wondering who the hell they are talking about.

Definitely needs to be longer also - even if only 10 minutes more, I think they could really get into the meat of the stuff better instead of quickly glossing over everything.

He has brought his podcast mindset and experience (the energy, the slang, the nicnames) to a tv show.

Therein lies the clash of styles.

A TV show needs a show host, bear in mind TV shows have writers - SJ trying to run before he can walk (I imagine it is because this thing has been thrown together at short notice).

If I was the show producer I would get him a writer to train him to be more structured (Matty Johns, Monty Betham) these people have help.

Once he has the structure down, get used to sticking to it, add his personality the way the professionals do (Andrew Voss talks to players about their highlights.).

I imagine he has a producer etc now and probably help with writing? but these are learned skills I am talking about.

I like the show, I like what Shaun is doing, I give him four stars, five will come.

He has a bit of the extrovert style that Laura McGoldrick has, in that it engages you and draws you in. Throws out some unexpected left field stuff that works.

Different from the traditional ‘league’ media which is a lot more structured.
