Shame on NZ Rugby League why didnt they organise a warm up game for the kiwis and kiwi ferns against the NZ Residents Team or The Nz Warriors so they had a chance to gel before playing the aussies

Kiwis vs Warriors wouldn't work in that time frame because the Warriors were all on leave & it's high risk, little reward for the club. It wouldn't be competitive game anyways with the Warriors without CNK, AFB, Barnett, SJ, Niukore, Erin Clark and all the injured guys like TMM & Tohu.
A game against the NZ Residents would be a 100 point hiding & a waste of everyone's time.
No warm up games in 2023 & they won the title 30-0. The team we had this year just wasn't good enough on the night vs either Tonga or Australia

Unprecedented "injury" toll as well. We've usually had a number of unavailable players but this year has been next level, particularly for the halves and hooker. One of JMK, Cheese, Hughes Foz or Brown and we'd be playing the final.

The NRL needs to lay out a 4 year schedule. Signifying the minimum amount of tests. The pacific championship, world cups or tours of England.
That way the NZRL etc can organise those sorts of things on top of that.

When did the schedule for this year's Pac Champs come out - maybe 2 months before the first game, if that?

It's shambolic. We should be knowing the internationals schedule at least 6 months out.

I was surprised Kiwi A didn't make another appearance this year. It was a good proactive move from the NZRL last year. They love taking one step forward and two steps back, don't they?

One positive is Vlandys and Abdo are committed to International footy as they see the revenue making machine it can turn into.
Just need some footy minded people on the board planning the right fixtures at the right time.

I thought the Kiwi A side was scraped because of money issues? NZRL are skint.
