I actually think an option is as Egan gets older he may swap onto the bench and healy to start. Youth to do the toughest part and Egan to come on when the sting is gone and add to the attack in the middle.

I think that could happen if Healey extends beyond his current 3-year contract, or Tafua might be that guy to transition if he doesn’t extend

Would be a loss, I think he makes the perfect 14 and hopefully when metcalf is back we can see him in there.

Watching NSW cup he is a little off being a starting 9 with his decision making but can grow into that

Might be a bit early, but I'd extend him in the off season.

To me, he's exactly what we need on our bench. He has good defence, is a big enough body and has a good running game, but his biggest asset is that he has that dog in him. He competes for everything, I really don't think he have enough of that in our team.

I'm not too sure what he's on currently, but I'd give him a few hundred k more on his final year of his contract if he signs on for 2 more. Having him til the end of 2030 would be huge for us

Id go one further and release Egan and promote Healey. Not enough room in the team and we have TMM at 14.

I'm not sure we're there yet. One of the biggest issues with Egan is he seems to get knackered and broken down by the end of the year, but if in theory if you have a young book hooker on your bench taking 30-45 minutes a game off of Egan, he should be fresher at the back end of the year.

Also, I'm a TMM fan but we can't have him on the bench for the whole year. I think this whole thing started because we had massive injuries in the backs and Rocco not being able to finish a game. I don't think TMM offered enough to be there specifically as an impact player off the bench, so I think if we start the year without massive injuries there's no point in having TMM there

I’d like to see him run at 13 from time to time and work in tandem with Egan. It’s been frustrating watching him sit on the bench this season until the last 15 mins when Egan was absolutely busted or knackered.

Very fair and TMM at 14 is a big part of my analysis. I would like to see a LOT of out of Egan in a 50 min stint.

I liked Te-Maires time at hooker, even better was his time playing in the middle, he was a dawg on defence.

The hooker spot will be his full time after next season if he’s willing to wait just needs another year with Egan to fine tune his passing

Interesting interview with him during the preason break. Focuses mostly on his intergreation into the warriors for at least the first half.

Couple of quick take aways:
Says his goals for this year is to own that "number 17" jersey.
Surprised at the intensity of warriors training.
Talks quite a few times about how clear the expectations are for himself. And how that especially has made his transition into 1st grade great. Can see the same thing with other players as well.

"Would you like to finish you career at the sharks?" - "Probably not at this stage. I'm happy at the warriors, and i can kinda call it a 2nd home for me. So i'll just see what happens in the future but hopfully i keep getting opptunities to push foward"
