Big Ali didn’t play Nsw cup today - is he injured?

I'm happy for double center change to be honest, Pomps on the right and Ali on the left.

I feel like Webby just doing the same thing over and over again.
We have to change
Same players same plan every week isn’t working
I m going off Berry too - we need more

1) CNK
2) DWZ
3) Pompey (Need to give him a go, Berry is going okay but worth trying something different here)
4) RTS (he’s trying hard but a bit one dimensional I feel, step, dodge, step)
5) Montoya
6) TMM (Needs to step up, a bit of a passenger at the moment in attack. Solid defensively I feel. Metcalf’s despite his deficiency’s in certain areas provided some spark to our team that is well missed atm)
7) SJ (Standard kick to the DWZ/Berry to chase = no result. Tries different kicks - spiral, floater, cross field = results)
8) AFB (Going hard)
9) Egan
10) Afoa
11) Ford
12) Laban/Capewell (doubt KC plays, he’s been a disappointment to say the least)
13) Harris
————————————
14) Walker
15) Barnett
16) Ale
17) Zyon Maiu’u (Need a bit of spark off the bench)

Please use your bench Webby. No point wasting a spot and playing at a disadvantage.
Metcalf also had a kicking game and wasn’t afraid to overcall Johnson and have a go. Martin’s non existent

I've been a big advocate of in Webby we trust but that trust is looking shaky.

I know we won't get major changes - I'm picking Lussick on the bench in the unused 4th spot, and Laban to start in place of an injured Capewell - but gee I'm just not impressed with a couple of the boys at present.

I'd like to see Pompey come in to replace Montoya, as many others have called for. He isn't a game breaker but isn't bad at making chances for his outside man.

The nsw cup game was played in Newcastle prior the first grade.
Someone will know
I assume our 19 warm up together for NRL. Then if someone goes down in the warm up, the injured guy becomes the 19th man.
Given we named two OBs as 18/19, I don't see why one couldn't play Cup (other than the risk of them being injured during that game, I guess).

Edit: Billyspleen75 Billyspleen75 - thank you. I very clearly got this one wrong 🥴

Love that passion that has driven folks to think that Webby would drop / bench the captain... I think most can agree that changes are required, but...

CNK
DWZ
Berry
Ali
RTS
Taine (I would pick TMM on the basis that's what Webby will do, but also assume he has been grooming Taine in Cup with the kicking / ball playing role)
SJ

AFB
Egan
Afoa
Ford (RHS)
Laban (LHS)
Tohu

Walker - on after 15-20, Afoa off, Tohu to prop
Ale - Subs Walker with 30/35 to go (second half impact), then Walker back on for last 10-15. Can play some time at 13 if Walker has to cover Egan.
Zyon Maiu’u - on for AFB at 30ish min mark (AFB back on with 25-35 to depending on needs). Short stint, but gets longer if Barnie to second row.
Barnett - on after 25, Tohu off (Tohu back on with 30/35 to go). Also covers second row injuries, otherwise comes on for Laban with 15-20 to go as required.

Not sure if those subs work (plan to use 7, with only 3 in first half), but Fonzie will let me know if I've got the numbers wrong. But aim to finish the game with AFB, Egan, Tohu, Ford, Laban/Barnie, Walker.

Would luv sum 1st hand insider training report as to who within the top 30 is still confident & backing themselves…
Can’t throw our youth into the fire if they are not seizing the opportunity at training….
Wing, centre & second row spots are fair game..
Unfortunately Tohu should play off the bench then faze out once Marata is available…
