NRL Perth Bears

I'm on the opposite thinking. They are going to be hot trash. Png will take those players willing to go somewhere far. Then the travel will wreck them. NZ travel is bad enough but Perth to Sydney is an hr more, though no customs.
Yeah I’ve done the Sydney to Perth a couple of times and it’s pretty brutal for a domestic flight. Can only image adding an NZ leg onto that.
Possibly worth looking at mitigating that a bit by making the Warriors/Perth/PNG/NZ2 match ups permanent magic round fixtures?

You would have thought that there would have been some fringe talent playing for North Sydney this year trying to impress. They're sitting second in NSW Cup but don't appear to have many who are knocking on the door of a first grade contract

Think that “partnership” is kinda just lip service. Can imagine someone going through their systems would probably back their chances finding a spot in one of the 10 clubs within a 2 hour drive from home vs moving to the other side of the country

I would be extremely surprised if they don't get the spoon.

There are some underrated players in that squad and they have a strong home ground advantage. Bottom 4 for sure, but not spoon imo.
Big Mal is under quite alot of pressure as there been a bunch of conflict with the admin, the recruitment & because he hasn't moved to so people are questioning his commitment. It's getting a feeling the foundations aren't being built properly and the PNG situation just makes it all even harder. They're going to struggle.

Good idea about magic round.

Are they still playing a couple of home games at North Sydney? Those could be against NZ as well?
