Thoughts on a theoretical kiwis lineup

1. Ponga
2. Isaako
3. Manu
4. McClean
5. RTS
6. Brown
7. Hughes
8. Fish
9. Marshall King
10. AFB
11. Nikora (could be someone else eligible here that I'm forgetting)
12. Papallii
13. Tapine

14. Taumalolo / Clark
15. Whyte
16. Leota
17. Kini
After that game (which was pure joy) not going to rag on anyone today, except those who allowed Eli to play and and Ash Klein, though I'm not sure AFB would make a squad now anyhow, in any case he's Tongan committed and good on him - only point i want to make is that he he's gone backwards since leaving the warriors... which is ragging on the sharks, which is expected and always allowed

Mooks is there assisting
He is a good man for supporting Stacey and everyone including Bellamy knows he is a great assistant to a head coach.

I thought Stacey got the game plan bang on with the way he had them using the ball and playing second phase, it is our natural game and these guys know what to do when the opposition have the ball.

Nice to see Stacey get some wins as coach and for NZs greatest test coach to be part of it in the legend Kearny.

Does Tonga play PNG next week?
No promotion relegation game.
Cook Islands vs South Africa for a spot in the World Cup next year.
I hope Karmichael have kept the boys training etc. Would be a shame for them to miss out next year especially with it played in Australia.

Tongan backrower Eli Katoa has required medical assistance after seemingly falling ill while sitting on the interchange bench during the Pacific Championships in Auckland.
Katoa required urgent medical help and the aid of six support staff and teammates as he was transported from the bench and into the tunnel of Eden Park on a medi-cab with around 20-minutes remaining in the match.

Medical officers placed an oxygen mask on the backrower’s face while also covering him with a team jacket.

The Storm forward suffered a HIA in the first-half of the Kiwis win over Tonga, before returning to the field after passing the assessment.

AFB over any of our props, no chance. Taumalolo, game has passed him by, statue in defence. RTS over Ronaldo? Nope. Ponga over Kini? Not on 2025 form. Joey Manu pre 2024, maybe.
