Is McLean the best centre in the game.

Is Chanel Cam Smith like at dummy half.

Whyte really is a fantastic player.

Brown and Papalii were the unsung heroes.

Tapine is the best forward in the game.

Warriors should sign NAS.

Massive shout out to the rest of our team.
Agreed Tapine was the difference between the sides and you have to think Raiders need to move him to lock now after tonight. The extra mobility he played with tonight made him pop up every where.

I only caught the last 35 mins but didn’t see NAS, how did he go?

The Kiwis were getting the better of the field position early with the starting 3 middles. Samoa were struggling to get into the Kiwis 20.

That soon changed and the momentum shifted. They were unlucky with a few of those passes hitting the ground. They created their opportunities.

Samoa were also hit hard with HIAs.

They looked a bit better when CHT came on to dummy half.

The Kiwis had a bit of a drop off when JFH, Leota and Tapine were being rested. Understandable that is an impressive middle trio.

Just got back. Haven't seen a replay yet, but from the middle of the South Stand...
-Whyte and Tapine immense
-Brown hot-and-cold but hot at crucial moments
-McLean is farking strong for a slender looking fella
-Foran was constantly in the ref's ear - basically the de facto captain
-Papali'i and Leota looked good
-We looked more tired than them, but also more structured and 'team-y'; they looked more likely to break the game open with individual brilliance

Pretty decent test match all in all. Lots of lengthy phases where both sides respected the ball and got into the grind.

I thought we put on some promising trickery in the opening quarter and there were some nice moments with ball movement, but Samoa were more than equal to the task.

We have to remember that this is a first up game for both sides, the quality was high given that.

Tonga will have to really play well to beat this Samoan side. Huge disadvantage coming in cold, but Tonga has the class to cope...so depending on how they handle the challenge it could go one of several ways.

Great crowd noise today, really good stuff.

Who do people think was the better hooker out of crossland and Marshall King? I thought crossland was better.
Crossland seemed to bring more energy, and looked like he could read his forwards a bit better - when they were going to offload and when they were going to take the tackle. Haven't seen the full replay though. Was watching it at the ground.
