Fats is still on the NSW cup team list whilst EIT is not. Of course these cup lists can change on a dime. But I'd put my money on EIT being the edge cover in this game. Interestingly Marata is not on the cup list either. Don't know what's going on with that.

Kayliss deserves a run after his efforts last week.

There is the play that would have got him in there for sure (when he flew up on the tram line to support Linane - even though the second rower in the wing slot is a planned move by the Warriors, Linane threw Fats an ugly ball which he deftly reeled in). Kayliss and Big Neal have been killing it in that channel.

Hopefully Kayliss comes on at left edge to give Leka some competition.

Other things Kayliss did well to get his seat would be his inside outside chase to close ruck gaps on our try line, and his hit ups, plus ball playing wide with that fast break where he gets an assist feeding Linane back on the inside. In that regard he is a superior weapon to Leka (calm down, I am talking one skill set for now).

Good to see him running freely again, still....I look forward to the day he plays without a Michael Jackson one glove Temu stocking on his thigh (every player and his dog has that sleeve these days, fk man set yourselves free, embrace the pain, if you still got one on after a year it is a placebo bro jks).

I could be wrong, but I know they removed the 10-day cooling off period for a bit but it was reinstated this season.

It's not surprising at all that Metcalf isn't named in cup, no given the standard 10 day clause.

I spoke to someone I haven't in awhile out of curiousity who is an ex player, but still has ties. He seems to be of the belief that there really isn't this massive wedge at least not to the extent people think, and Metcalf is committed to the club for 2026. That's not to say there isn't a bit of water that needs to go under the bridge. Make of that what you will.

The club is being vastly calmer and more mature than the fans.
