Team List NZ Warriors v St George Illawarra Dragons - [Round 12, 2026]

Probably more interested in looking at Real Estate Australia houses for sale passed to him by his wife.
His head space will have moved to NSW.

Strong team. I wouldn't rush RTS in unless he is 100%. We need him next week v Penrith. I want us to crack the half century against this dragons team: Young is taking the piss with Jaydn Sua into the centers. Never want to go after a brother when he is down but young Setu is going to get it from us this week unfortunately. DWZ is in my multi for a hatrick down that side.

Is it the Jayden Sua?

I looked and thought, surely not, must be a young in. That's woeful and we really should target him

They were hearty against Penrith so 50 might be tricky

Got to wonder how Mets is feeling.... first Boyd, then TMM and now Hanson named before him.

Webby rules him out of FG, said he needs to get back into contact and match fitness then literally doesn’t name him in the cup squad 😂

He’s either close to being out the door or the only reasons left are he’s injured or Webby’s making him take baby steps by restarting exclusively contact trainings…..someone confirm that’s how it works??

I agree about Rogers form.

But Webster has to tread very carefully from here onward.

The fellowship of the brotherhood stands on a knife edge after the Metcalf affair and Webster is going to have to manage his players with care.

Pompey did not deserve to miss out this season, but the rise of Ali has pushed him out.

The obvious solution is rotation, let guys hold their jersey while they are winning, yet regularly switch guys out to keep everyone content and working hard.

Pompey actually looks as though he has lost the fervor since being out of first grade, which is not how this next man up system is supposed to work.

It might send everyone a good message if they see someone like Roger having to fight to get back in through cup, just as Metcalf should have all along.
I personally do not think RTS playing in cup would send the right message at all. Just because the player was injured for one game, doesn't mean they lose their position to someone objectively worse. Same way i don't seeing barnett play in cup would of sent the right message. Those two are just an echelon above anyone else we have in those positions (outside of fish).

Yeah I think it's ridiculous. We don't take someone out who has killed it since moving to centre who also happens to be one of our biggest x-factor players coz he missed one game with injury.

All for a journey man centre who did nothing special in the Broncos game.

It doesn't matter, if RTS is fit, he will play. It doesn't matter what some here might think...or that he is leaving end of year? So is Barney...doesn't mean you stop picking them.

Not really sure where else to post this, but we’ve received a ton of air time on NRL 360 tonight. We’ve officially been deemed title contenders by the panel. Barney’s currently on their as well.

Matt and Cronk said the same last night Cronk said if Penrith haven’t been so good then we’d be premiership favorites

Yeah I get that side of it, but Roger is off contract and is a real team player, he would do it and it would fire the NSW cup boys up/give them a real boost to play with a legend.

The whole point of rotating stars like him into cup is to take apart this notion that there are some players who are above it (I see that thinking as one of the long term weaknesses of the Warriors, they need to remove the stigma of moving between grades for all). Marata has been playing hard down there, our current number seven has been doing the same, and of course Tanah Boyd has set the standard in showing there is no class system of higher ups at the Warriors (Freddy played like an animal down there, and Bunty too).

Actually I noticed the attack ball didn’t seem to get to Pompey and Akp very often.
As usual there seems to be unfair talk about Pomp s who s a long serving club man whose talents may not be recognised by some.

I don't think it was the Dragons playing great as much as Penrith trying to make it to the bye and origin without any injuries. Penrith have been in first gear for the last 3 weeks imo. If they were playing at full intensity, they would have put cricket scores on Manly, Canberra and the Dragons.

They probably saw Tanah and decided to play at 2nd gear

Pompey has always been that quiet achiever that may not have the showy swagger that some players demonstrate, but does a reliable job. He's also a big unit that gets us momentum and I love having him in the squad.
In saying that RTS has surprised everyone with his switch to centre this season. After struggling there in his return from union he looks a different player now and has to be in our starting side if fit.

As far as 2026 goes, Rog is either starting on the wing with Pompey inside him or starting at centre with AKP outside him.

Think we can pretty much lock that one in stone unless something horrendous happens form wise which doesn't appear likely.

Rog at centre being option #1.
