Pick Your Team NZ Warriors v St George Illawarra Dragons - [Round 12, 2026]

Reading the thread I am chuckling… I am pissing off both sides but Metcalf’s kicking game like wasn’t close to 9/10 or was it 4/10 lol, it’s about 8/10 punt to the 10m, 7/10 attacking bombs, and 0/10 grubbers

And we could see Roger revert back to 2024 form with a grasshopper inside him so akp will get folded when he gets the ball. How many sweeping tries did we see last year? Say goodbye to that too 😂

Outside the box tactic you play TMM 7 and Metcalf 6 so TMM direct the team Luke back up Clark/Fish etc and be that NFL specialized long range kicker, and we keep 1 solid defending half. Weird for Chanel but he hasn’t shown as a 7 yet and lacks the punt

Anyway the biggest issue is still team harmony if you’re 20% off with off-field chemistry…best scenario is the current starters kick that extra 20m…. IMO Luke should only play when we are in a slump and need a SOS

PS the “Metcalf will take us to the promised land” involves yet more gamble on potential AND swap Metcalf for Galvin and we have a case study

Extremely low

SJ was publicly quoted during the week saying "Jetts not their yet"

Also important to remember that Ivan said he would not have debuted Nathan when Griffin did it. So I guess really 7s are never ready as they can only improve from playing

I think Jett is $1.01 to play NRL this year but won't be until later in the year once we've locked up top 2
One thing you are concerned about is if he can cope in the first grade defensively or will he struggle like Kade Reed did when he got his chance.

But then I thought if we are running Leka, Laban, Fats, Neal at him in training maybe he’s not that far off.

I think his kicking game is NRL ready and he’s probably a better goal kicker than most. Good running game as well.

We are also playing the Dragons and I know you shouldn’t take any NRL team lightly but wouldn’t that be a great team to debut against. He was already named on the extended bench against Knights in round 3.

Now I’m not saying Jett should be picked but it wouldn’t surprise me if he does get a shot.

I did say it was a good game against the tigers to bring metcalf back and yikes 😂 It would be fun watching Jett vs Linnane, Taufua getting a run this year, maybe Neal in R27! 😂

Jett could easily play NRL this week. He doesn't have the issue Kade Reed has. Jett is an extemely physical number 7.

Seen him run at set defensive lines, get belted, then get up and do it again

I think from a decision-making perspective, he's not there yet.

Would not shock me at all if he gets named on the extended bench.

But given TMM needs all the reps he can get now, I'd be shocked if Jett actually got a debut this week.

I just don't see why he would be picked ahead of TMM this week

Yeah makes sense. It’s exciting to hear that he’s actually closer than I thought initially.

Even being on the extended bench he would be taking some reps at 7 for the first team.
