Who would he come on for in the starting 13 & then who takes Barnett's regular minutes if Fatialofa plays?
I don't think it will happen but I assume it would be for any of our edge back rowers. But we are stocked well in that cupboard

If, EIT doesn't play I reckon he'd have every reason to feel aggrieved. He only got to play 2 games of Cup last month despite not being injured. Hard pill to swallow to be overtaken in the pecking order as a result of being unused on a 6 man bench multiple times
I know but there's technically still a lot of season to go where he will be absolutely ideal to start or inject off the bench

Yeah hardout.

He is a brilliant defensive player, deserves inclusion for that alone.

And the Warriors haven't used his attacking game at all (which is fine, his safety on defence is more valuable at this stage in his career) he will turn heads when he gets attacking ball, one thing he ain't is slow.

Hes in the 17, and even if an edge backrower goes down. You'd imagine hes far more ready to step into that role if need be.

Hopefully EIT plays, deserves his chance.

That's why I don't overly like the 6 man bench either for the players that go unused and are only getting inhouse reps. How are you supposed to continue your development that way.

Webby's midweek press conference was pretty instructive I thought - he plays two middle forwards before halftime and Jacko being able to play big minutes means he doesn't have to rotate him until late (if at all) and keep the option open of using Healey or having someone cover an injury. So unless he's decided Fatialofa or Laban or Metcalf is a middle forward it'll be Eddie on before halftime then see what happens in the 20 after. He also specifically commented on Eddie's ability to play big minutes in the Ford role if Ford went down or got a Blues call-up so could actually see Ford spelled this game.

I personally think he's a given to play due to his ability to cover multiple spots. My post was more in response to the theme that Fatialofa is probably going to debut today. As @WAH MAN has suggested, I think Fatialofa is just there for the match day experience, unless we get multiple injuries early

Metcalf not playing cup today feels like absolute insanity.

The bloke wasn't even ready before he did a hammy, why on earth is he not getting his legs under him and some confidence in at cup.
Suspect he would've played cup if not for the new 19 man squad rule - Webby said midweek that he'd feel dumb if someone went down and Metcalf wasn't on the bench bc he was playing cup when he has the opportunity to name him on the extended bench.

Ultimately have to optimise for gameday and back that a player like Metcalf is getting the reps he needs at training to come on when needed if deemed fit.

Bostock last night apparently his first game in ten months. Two tries.

It is possible for Mets to click if he gets on.

It's Mets vs Healey for the bench. We can't carry both of them. Personally, I think it would be unwise to risk Mets here with the bye next week. Webby probably goes with Healey, Demi, Laban and EIT. EIT and TSS are similar body shapes and are interchangeable imo. That forward rotation should be too powerful for the Eels who are looking very small on their bench.

A lot easier for a forward or a centre/winger coming back, much more simplified role.

Interesting they just mentioned in the Canberra game that Eels are 6/7 against us recently. Hopefully the boys are switched on.

Yeah agree, I think Mets is there for cover. Albeit Metcalf on at 6 and either Egan plays 80 or CHT to 9 isn't completely outside the realms of possibility to me tbh.

Danger game for mine, going for the upset unfortunately, 6 out of the last 7 Eels have won so I'm a little worried.. 😬 Eels by 6 or 8, hopefully we have learnt from previous encounters very much danger game..
Up the Wahs !!
