Team List NZ Warriors v Melbourne Storm - [Round 6, 2026]

Cup for a month to be able to physically play a few games without pulling a muscle, then supersub on the bench until a half get injured. They probably won't do that though, and repeat a Berry where he plays 1-2 games then gets injured repeatedly by jogging and death spiral towards career ending

They 100% won't put him into Cup for a month.

Doesn't matter who is named where as such. Yes it does carry weight but our problems have been attitude and lack of defensive strength.

When we hunt as a pack we defend well. When we drop our all in approach we get breached.

I back Roger to pull finger on cutting down his errors this week and putting in a solid performance.

Boyd & CHT, had lost 3 of their last 4 games together before CHT got knocked out early against the Raiders.
Boyd & Hanson had 1 NRL game together after Rd 3 & Hanson had never started a game alongside Egan or with Leka as his Centre before then.
I personally would have brought CHT back at the first available opportunity but my point is that Webster didn't break up any longstanding or successful NRL combos in Rds 4 & 5
@Cces its not about facts and stats. Its more about the vibe of the thing. If we pretend the team was unchanged for 3 rounds then we can blame this loss on the changes

Doubt our backline will make a difference either way this week so probably not.

Would love AKP to get a shot though and hopefully hold his spot afterwards.
Would love to see AKP in the team too. Wouldn't mind EIT at centre if he was to pair with AKP. Eddie is a hard working kid. And he'll do a good job defensively. Won't offer much in attack tho. That's where I see CNK being a must at FB. Charnze runs beautiful lines, And his timing is better from FB when he chimes in with set plays. Has a good quick pass or cut out ball. TT is more off the cuff.

Ali can be hit or miss. Our other options have been just as bad if not worse defensively than Ali of late. Ali has the physicality to match it with the storm backs. He just needs to pull finger the whole game and not have nana naps.

Leka is our strike weapon. Better to have him off the bench against tiring opposition who will not enjoy the task of trying to contain him.

I wish the club would stop shuffling Pasikala & Norris around the backline. Apart from Kali who has tremendous potential, But made of glass. These two kids have potential 1st grade written all over them.

Watching Pasikala this year he is the most physically dominant back we have in cup or flegg. Hard to put down. Makes good metres. And is smashing people in defence. He is a strong kid. Norris has it all! Strengh , Pace , Vision and can tackle.
Do either of them have a chance to debut this year? Motu is 20, Brandon around 19/20? Or are we to conservative and not willing to risk these young guns?

Thanks for your comments in EIT at centre
I ve asked this question about EIT slotting in at centre but apart from you nobody else had a view
