I'm looking at moving on KPP this week, will sort me for 18 plus he has another bye soon and will have a highish BE, 'Looking at players with no more byes as have just cracked 10k but know I won't have the value / squad depth of the top teams so minimal players out on a particular week will hopefully help.

Keen for any opinions on what I'm thinking

Couchman
Pros - Potential upside if he moves back to middle
- DPP
Con - Owned by most

Preston
Pros - Consistent scorer
POD '
Cons - Feels like he is max value so not really any value add

Katoa
Pros-- Melbourne Attack
POD
Cons - Has never scored an 80.

Do I just take Couch as the solid option with potential upside and choose to have my POD somewhere else?

This whole decision feels a bit like playing a smart hand at the tables. Like with online casinos, especially the ones reviewed on sites like https://icasinoreviews.co.nz/mummys-gold-casino-nz/, sometimes it's about knowing when to play it safe and when to chase a high-reward move. It’s not pure luck — it’s reading the odds, the trends, and trusting your strategy. Fantasy footy and casino play both reward calculated risk-takers.

Yeah, I think Couchman makes the most sense here - safe floor, decent upside, and DPP flexibility is handy this late in the season. You're right that he's highly owned, but that’s not always a bad thing, especially if he’s ticking all the boxes. If you're chasing rank, maybe find your POD elsewhere with a bit more upside than Preston or Katoa.

Couchman dislocated his shoulder on the weekend and has been mass sold pretty much.

Preston looks must have

Thankfully I didn't do Couchman back then. I am trading KPP to Preston this week, when Couch came back I gave him a week but then his BE and scores meant I kept giving him one more week and would have probably pushed go this week..

I am now trading KPP to Preston this week, know some of the experts have said he is a hold but with missing this week and another bye still to come trading for someone with no byes looks like a lot of upside to me.

I am still trying to limit the number of times I will have two players out on a bye post round 19 - Atm it is looking like I will have two our for the Dolphins and the Tigers (though Bird is in my emergencies so no so concerned about that).byes. Every other week it is 1 or 0 which should help me field a strong side and reduce needs for trades.

I paid $308K by memory for Tyrone Munro and thought I was getting a 35-40 point guy

Instead his scores since returning from injury are:
25
25
34
24
Let's hope he has warmed up now.
In better news since I purchased Kautoga he has gone

27
35
57
65
What made you think Munro would average 35-40? He is solely reliant on tries, in a team coming bottom 4, in origin period without the main guy feeding him tries? Wingers need base stats. Run metres, tackle breaks, offloads, or else you can expect mid 20s, at best. My back 3 is teddy, drinky, Garrick, turbo, kiraz. All have multiple ways of accumulating points whether is the above mentioned categories, goal kicking etc. for when they don’t score, they can at least salvage a 30+.

Because he is only 20 and as a 19 year old put out scores like 25ish last year in first grade. He isn't solely reliant on tries since his injury return. He gets good base stats from hit ups out of his own end. I like him and I would like the Warriors to acquire him if we could. He can't defend for peanuts but he can hit it up really well and he would the fastest back at the Warriors by some distance.

But why would being 1 year older instantly mean a 15 point increase? He’s played 4x, scored 4 tries. His base stats are:
130m =13 points
2.3 tackle breaks = 4 points
4 tackles = 4 points.

His base is 21 points, with an unsustainable 1 try per game scoring rate.

I understand the gamble, but just trying to give you some guidance. These guys are solely reliant on tries to score well, but even though he’s scoring 1 per game, he still only averages 28.

Wingers need something else. Kiraz has offloads. Campbell has kick metres & tackling. Garrick & papi have goal kicking. Latrell has kicking. Wingers need base stats or you can expect scores in the teens.

I appreciate your guidance !!

I don't view him as a failure though. He has been money in the bank for 25 points. For his price that is a reasonable return. I just was hoping he could be a 35-40 point guy each time he scored a try. He is a green dot though and will see out the season so far from being a failure. If he is called to be in my 17 in a particular week then his 25 will be very handy. At least he averages 28 and not 19-20 like some wings do.
