Where are these astute comments coming from ? Next level analysis. Good posting. You weren't making this level of astute posting last year. Are you watching more pod casts this year. Or just reflecting more?

Just watching more games. I don't listen to any podcasts and just watch Casual and JF.

I also think that when you start badly in fantasy, it's hard to see beyond, that guy is scoring so well I must get him! When you are already on the front foot, you can concentrate on what's better for me long term. Garrick is a avg 40-45 player with every now and again he will have a great game. With 4 games to go before Round 12, I now have to decide if I need to get on Couchman.....sucks.

I'm holding off on Teddy until the Origin teams are named. WFB seems to be a shoddy position for scoring this season.
Walsh has been shit but is so cheap, surely turns it on soon.

I think as a whole you need to look at what you are missing during Round 12 at least. I swear Teddy is going to play Origin though.

I can't bring myself to pick the Max Plath's or Kautoga players who are to me cheat code players who get amazing points despite being lucky to even be in the NRL. I see both of them as being in the bottom 10% of all NRL players but in the top 20% as far as fantasy point scoring goes.

Finally what do you think of a trade of Ali L for Ryley Smith? Smith could be getting 80 minutes this week. But has a poor points per minute so far in his career? The trade nets me a bit of cash to upgrade someone else next week. Smyth on 333K and Ali on $474

Yup, you have take feelings out of this game. I hate horseface, but I still had him in Round 1. As the old saying goes, hate the game, not the player. In saying that, I think you can choose good real life players who are also good in fantasy. You have to remember, this game is actually a game of economics. It's trading stocks with a RL theme. No one buys stocks when the price is at it's high peak.

I think Ali for Smyth is ok. You free some cash and potentially get some points. Just know that Smyth is a worse Mam (rabbits hooker), and he's there to get you maybe another 50-100k and free that cash up for that gun later. He's also good because he plays round 12 but doesn't play 15 or 18.

In the end I changed the trade to Toia for Ryley Smith as I had too many Roosters and wanted Ali's DPP. I also think Toia at 432K is priced at 32 and as such only has another 75 to 80K in him before he reaches his top end value.

In the end I changed the trade to Toia for Ryley Smith as I had too many Roosters and wanted Ali's DPP. I also think Toia at 432K is priced at 32 and as such only has another 75 to 80K in him before he reaches his top end value.

All good. Ali has a really high ceiling but requires Metcalf to play well too.

Couldn't decide on Hubner or Toia for a bench spot and went with Hubner. That was a terrible head knock and he'll be out next week.
