I have a crazy ass theory I am thinking of.
Owen Pattie is available for 230K - I don't have enough trades this round but I am thinking of taking him round 3.
My crazy theory is that Sticky is very volatile.. Tom Starling has always been a quality player and frequently has turned games when he comes on the field. However the Rickster has not rated him in past seasons. Also Ricky randomly gets mad at players and sends them to this doghouse. I can see Tom Starling running Afoul of Ricky emotions around round ten or so and Pattie getting more minutes. He is actually owned by 18% of contestants.

18% of teams wish they didn’t own him. Untill there is a clear sign his role has changed it’s a hard one to justify.

Well next week after round 3 i need another back up hooker as I am selling Mama this week, so in my price range is either Pattie or Zach Docker Clay (who somehow got 44 on the weekend).

I was forced into it. I had to choose between selling Ali Leiataua or Mama to get Humphries and I just feel I need Humphries as he has become a compulsory player to have.
You definitely need him. He's this year's Lachlan Galvin. I would get rid of Ali over Mama.

Hmmm it is such a tough call. Ali is DPP and acts not only as a centre but as bye cover to my WingFullbacks.
I see your point in the Ali got a try and a try assist yet only got 44 points. While Mama got a try and a try assist also but got 59 points as makes more tackles.
I will revisit this but would need to line up a new full back cover for next week.
Who is the other player your trading? I'd sell Ali and Vaimauga.

Value is king. Trading out a cash cow that hasn’t made all the money they can is something you really want to avoid. Also making bad calls and getting away from them is part of the game. So far Ali is a bad call.

That is not a bad call.
I sold Longi 340K for Starford 290K
I sold Mama 367K (I think by memory) for Humphreys 488K
And had to sock into my savings to fund the differential
I really wasn't impressed with Longi (or Duffy) while I think Vaimaiga will be next man up in the pecking order as soon as an injury happens.
But yes if I went Vaimauga for Starford
I could go Ali for Humphreys and keep Longi as Wing Fullback back up.
Worth thinking about.

My issue is team balance vs the great cash upside Mama has
Mama is my back up hooker and will play in my 13 during 3 bye rounds plus any suspensions or injuires
If I keep Ali then he becomes my back up Wingfull back and backs up three incumbent wingfullbacks in my starting 13.
That means he is needed for 9 bye rounds plus SOO duties plus 3 times any injuries or suspensions.
I figure they both will score about 35-40 each game and more when they score a try.
If I trade out Ali then I need Longi or alternatively some other cheapie wingfullback as my cover person.
I guess on the other hand if value is really important then there is chance Mama could catch up to Ali's price in 5 rounds.

If I really scratch around there is one more option
Trade out Naufahu Whyte price $456K trade in Humphreys $488K
That will leave me chronically short of an edge
To remedy that either
a) Vaimauga to Kai O'Donnel (if he gets named tomorrow) he only got 37 points but better than what Vaimauga gets
b) Sell Longi and get Wong an Edge for the Roosters who averages 47 but has bad job longevity with Radley coming back.
