NRL NRL Round 9 2026 Discussion

Brisbane ruck control awful to start this game. Against the better sides, I think not having Haas is going to make them vulnerable to losing the field possession battle. They got completely dominated in that tigers game as well.

to remain in 2nd, we need:
1. Sharks to win or Tigers to beat Sharks by less than 26 pts.
2. Knights to win or Rabbitohs to beat Knights by less than 36 pts.
3. Broncos to win or Roosters to beat Broncos by less than 69 pts.

More worried about the 2nd game tbh. Hopefully knights put up a fight against the bunnies.

Looking at the casualty ward, this broncs team looks pretty close to the one we will face at magic round. No Haas, hunt, Jensen, etc.

Call me crazy but I think we can beat this broncos team. Without Haas, they are far less imposing through the middle. They are getting rolled by the Roosters and I thought the Dogs and Tigers last few weeks won the forward battle against them too. Yes, they are good at tacking their dicks off and Reynolds can perform magic even when on the back foot. But if you control him, Walsh is far easier to isolate. They are also highly ill-disciplined and will give anyone free shots at their line.

No Carrigan?
Maybe the pretenders are losing to them but contenders like the roosters are putting them away….
We should beat them without Haas etc and we have our full team but their spine is still pretty elite

That 69 is happening 😂

Maguire seems to be a coach that can come in to a side on the up, like at Wigan and Souths and now the Broncos, and get them to the peak, but struggles to get them going again after winning.

I know they have a huge amount of injury problems but this Broncos side is starting to remind me of his 15 and 16 Bunnies after they won the comp.
