They were one of the clubs that could really have a gripe with the Murdoch family getting into the game.Oh my Berry, surely I am not the only one sick of hearing the Bears coming up with every prosepective expansion location
Why wouldn't it work?Get set for the cries to have a team based in Ch Ch, Wgtn or Hamilton .
Don’t let it happen , it won’t work.
Warriors don’t have exclusively NZ players so can’t see PNG being forced to.Would their be quota system for PNG team or would it naturally be mostly PNG players anyways?
I think they would be based in Cairns but play 10 games in Moresby initially with a plan to fully relocate to Moresby in 10 yearsWarriors don’t have exclusively NZ players so can’t see PNG being forced to.
Recruitment will be tough (depending on where it’s based). Convincing NRL players to move to NZ (or even Canberra) is challenging as it is
PNG/NZ 2 and Perth are the logical teams to take it to the 20 team NRL, relocations to get a better North Sydney/CC representation plus Adelaide and you’d pretty much be doneI think they would be based in Cairns but play 10 games in Moresby initially with a plan to fully relocate to Moresby in 10 years
Yeah mate, that makes sense, a few of my mates have lived and worked in PNG and around Port Moresby .... they reckon its a dangerous place to live if your not careful.. So I cant see foriegn players and their families wanting to live there anytime soon.I think they would be based in Cairns but play 10 games in Moresby initially with a plan to fully relocate to Moresby in 10 years
I don't mean exclusive. There are heaps of good NZ players and there are good local clubs. Do PNG have this? If they don't and have to get a lot of below par players or pay overs for players then it seems to defeat the purpose.Warriors don’t have exclusively NZ players so can’t see PNG being forced to.

Have a couple of mates that have both lived/ visited family. Fair amount of money needed to AYeah mate, that makes sense, a few of my mates have lived and worked in PNG and around Port Moresby .... they reckon its a dangerous place to live if your not careful.. Unless the club can guarantee their safety, child education needs etc. etc..
There's a shit load more to it than just fielding a footy team...
There’s the odd NRL player and of course the Hunters in the QLD cup. I’d say it’d essentially be the kumuls/hunters hybrid with a few ‘payday’ NRL stars. Depending on the base location I’d say NRL would have to give them some cap exemptions to get them goingI don't mean exclusive. There are heaps of good NZ players and there are good local clubs.
