NRL NRL 2025 General Recruitment Thread

Maybe we end up with klemmer when Hazelton stays at the sharks! 🤪
If there was ever any truth to something going on with interest in Sipley, I guess it’s a possibility? Sipley being 30 would indicate we’re after someone for a term with youth coming up to replace. As I mentioned in a previous post, don’t think he’d let you down on leadership and most recent season still offers more output than the likes of Sipley or Hazelton. Again age being the obvious drawback, but perhaps that’s the bracket that we’re comfortable to recruit?

Depends on how bad Paseka’s shoulder injury is. I don’t think they can afford to lose him if it’s a bad one

I was just meaning age wise that if Warriors were comfortable to recruit Sipley, perhaps they would be with someone like Klemmer? Again to compare to someone we’re interested in being Hazelton, both he and Klemmer 198cm and Hazelton a bit heavier at 116kg to Klemmer around 110kg so very similar dimensions. Upside in Klemmer could be that it’s for 2025 with tigers wanting him gone before his 14 game clause to extend for 2026. Tigers could be willing to pay a portion of his salary wanting him gone by the sounds?

Which player switched clubs in 2024 and now realises he made a terrible mistake?

The player - one of the biggest-name signings from last season - isn't happy in his new surroundings and would love nothing better than to return to his old club for 2026.

The former club would take him back in a heartbeat … IF they could find room in the salary cap.

Time will tell.

Wonder who this could be? Some speculating Spencer Leniu

Look at what Robinson did to May.
Leniu was close to him as well.
Could be…..

You reckon? Pretty unreasonable imo.

Last 4 years he's averaged 165m, 155m, 140m and 100m, with decent defence across all of those years.

Outside of AFB do we have any forwards who have put those numbers up in the last few years?

I think it's just because he's been in a shitty team he's been tarred as a plodder.

Possibly a little harsh from me, but decline has been pretty clear over the last couple years - He moves in slow motion these days, running straight is the only thing he offers. Lateral movement in defense isn't what it needs to be in these days of mobile forwards. Clubs aren't hot on these guys anymore, RCG was moved only for similar reasons despite being decent when looking at stats on paper.

Will any of this musical chairs work out for us?

Where does Molo end up and does that free someone else up that we might be interested?
With Molo listed at 183cm and 107kg, he doesn’t seem the big unit that seems to have been speculated and verified in Hazelton. Like you say though, could free up someone else?
