We haven't heard much about 3rd Party deals for a while.
The reporter says there is more to come on this in the next 24-48 hours.
Like always there will be two sides to every story. We don't know why the sponsor hasn't paid him. He may not have fulfilled his part of the deal.

That was my thought as well. If only involvement the NRL really has is signing it off that the club is separate from it.
Like when these were hitting the news a lot. They are not guaranteed. If he has done the appearances or work covered in the agreement it is time for his manager to actually do some work and show some value to his client.
When I first saw this on my YT feed it made it seem like a cap issue. Not sure if the headlines were changed. Ended up being pretty on the lower end of the scale.

NRL signed it off so they won't slap themselves on the face, even the Channel 9 reporter's comeback points were desperate weak sauce to maintain their clickbait headlines. Who are the sponsors not paying up though, they might be the ones receiving backlash from customers

Got a soft spot for Greenie through his time here, but geez apparently he handled Newcastle's attack.....and their attack sucked balls this year.

4 final series in 6 years isn't a bad effort all things considered. Admittedly they've been bundled out very easily in week 1 in virtually all those years. But I think if you were a wests or a tits supporter, you'd dream for that sort of record.

we did make finals once in 2018 though. Poor old tigers haven't seen finals since the Inu miracle try in 2011.

I'm not disagreeing with anything you're saying, I'm just pointing out that we too would liked to have had regular finals appearances over that period of time, and considering the troops we had, severely underperformed by not doing so.

In many ways our seasons during those dark years could be best described through the life cycle of an alcoholic.
We would start the season drunk, make a mini recovery during origin to give us all some hope, only to then relapse back into old ways by collapsing in a heap towards the end of the year. It didn't matter who was the coach- Bluey, Elliot, Cappy, Kearney, Brown. That was literally how every season panned out until Webby came along.

I see webby as a return to the sober years of the Cleary era after years of hangovers under our many bad subsequent coaching experiments. We were never a flashy side under Ivan and our attacking shape wasn't ever anything deeper than kick it to Manu. But we had a defensive DNA and made finals on a consistent basis. It's almost as if Ivan used his time with us as a field experiment for his later Penrith project. Webby has now returned to re-establish what Ivan built all those years ago.
