Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I broke through, when tackles flew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ran it hard, I stood my ground
I faced the line, and cleared the way —
And did it Leka’s way!
gone from ol blue eyes to young brown eyes

I watched it slowed down on Youtube and it is crazy how much quicker he was than everyone else. Also hilarious hearing the commentators "HHHHHAAAAALLLLAAAASSSSIIIIMMMMAAAA" and "MMMOOOMMMEEENNNTTTUUUMMM" at that speed. I could watch it over and over.
Don't know if you caught it but someone in the commentary screamed out try saver just as he dived with all the players over him..

Good luck with that champ 😂

Think he thought Bradman Best was going to pull him down, just shows the strength of Halasima that he couldn’t. Seems like he saw the line and there was no stopping him. Best probably still in shock, he’s out this week

If handled right, Leka and Demi will be the two best forwards over the next 10 years. It'll be like having Sonny Bill and Taumololo in the same team. Scary stuff.

This might sound defeatist as we will likely finish in the top 4 this year and therefore are in with a real chance. But I think webby sees this year as the spring board for setting up a genuine premiership window starting in either 2026 or 2027. Can't wait till next year and beyond when we are going to start seeing Leka, Demi, Jake and Kayliss all in the nrl side together. Add Barney back and that is some forward pack we are building.

For sure but what we need for this crew is a gun half and spine.

No winning team I know won it without gun halves or a spine . We had generational talents in Stacey and SJ. Penrith have Cleary. Storm Munster.

No way we winning the big dance with a halves pairing of Tannah Boyd and CHT. Egan is beaten up and CNK I think is on his last legs. Our spine needs upgrades

Unless Leka, Laban, Demetric, Ali can play in the spine? 😂

don't want to turn this into a thread on can we win the premiership at some pt when this is about Leka and other young forwards. All I'll say is you make valid pts.

Damn, in the space of a week it seems Leka's profile has gone out the roof! Unfortunately that usually goes hand in hand with unrealistic expectation that the kid probably doesnt need.
Hope he doesnt go out thinking he has to chase those moments every touch.....ill be quite happy if he flies under the radar but just runs hard, works off the ball, and makes his tackles.

Blessed to have the likes of Fish and Barney round him atm who'll cut through all the outside noise and keep him focused on the important stuff.

He did it against tigers too and seemed to come back to earth, though as you say this time seems like much more spotlight on him. Inevitably he’s going to get the extra attention that he seemed to after the tigers win but as others have said that’s just going to leave others with less attention on them. Vaimauga was hot in pursuit right behind him and I’ve been really impressed by him too. These guys are showing others coming through what’s necessary to be in the position they are

Nah second row you have to get involved. No choice.

It’s not like the wingers who just stand out wide making their hair look pretty and hardly touch the ball or make any tackles 😉
