General HELP/New Functionality - Player Ratings

First of all, a BIG thank you to everyone who rated players/coach for the last game vs Knights. The data provided a good base for additional testing and assisting in developing analytics for the game/season.

There is a great chance for the community to have an opportunity to indicate who are the better players in the team. Behind the scenes a lot of information is recorded.

I want to take this opportunity to share some of the features whilst they are in progress and being refined. Best viewed on desktop and on light mode but should be alright on mobile too. Colours will change as everything is refined.

Season Report

Provides a very thorough overview of the season for the club.
Some features:

• Team Performance, Win Loss Records. Highest/lowest rated performance of the season.
• Top Performers for the season averaged per game and across the season
• Position leaders i.e. highest averaging players who have played in each position (does it surprise that Leka is the highest rated Left and Right Second Rower?)
• Most Man of the Matches
• Some insightful cards i.e. who is most consistent in their average ratings, who is the most versatile (played most positions), most improved (takes start of season into account vrs now), Most Reliable (i.e. gaining a highest number of ratings per game over the season)...lots more.
• Milestones (i.e when a player made their debut, played their 50th game etc)
• Team performance (team rating average per round) etc.

Player Comparison (upto 4 players).

Some features of this tool, is that you can compare upto 4 players on a range of analysis. Why do you need stats, when you can compare how the fans thought about how they played?
Features:

• Overview of the players and detailed stats
• Radar Comparison of key stats

Statistics

Features:
- Gives a thorough overview of the top rated players over the course of the season/seasons/alltime.
- Rating Distribution graphs
- Filter by Top performers by forwards/backs
- Insights on most improved/most consistent players
- Milestones (needs a bit more data but complete but will show upcoming 50th Club game for players etc). Will retain current number of games for the club, nrl (but ratings will be limited to start of 2025).
- All time (this will make more sense after a season has finished).

Teams Information

Features:
- View Warriors Teams Info including Rosters, Recent form, average ratings etc. (Yes in the future the idea is to enable rating on our NRLW and NSW Cup team hence why you see the NRLW team in there too)
- Opponent teams show our recent form against them, click on their games button to go directly to the games where we played them.

Fixtures/Game View

Features
- Has all the Warriors fixtures in there. Can be filtered by competiton, season etc.
- Clicking through takes you to to the game for rating.
- Gameview has all the information you need including links to the 4 threads we have for the game (pick your team, team list, gameday and post game).

Player Stats

Features:
- Gives a deeper level analytics on the player's performance from their profile page (Tab is called Player Statistics).
- All players who have played a game for the Warriors in 2025 have an additional tab in their profile (Current NRL Squad - https://nzwarriors.com/showcase/categories/current-nrl.6/), or if you see player's name linked i.e. Leka.

HELP!
Now this is where i need your assistance. The insights is only as good as the data behind it. In order to have meaningful data and analytics, we need decent ratings data from the community.

Can i please request, that if you have a few spare moments to go through the fixtures, and go through all the round games and rate all the players for 2025(or some if you have a recollection of how they played). The data collected gives a lot of information on how players have been performing through the season and will be even more meaningful next and future seasons as a result.

All links on the pages should work. If something doesnt work or doesnt make sense please post through. Colours will change to be more inline with current style. Dark mode and mobile views will get better over time.

But before you do, please go and quickly rate a game or two. All games ratings are preselected to 6, so quick to rate (takes about 20 seconds). Please ensure you save/submit at the end of the ratings form.

Great stuff. Going to be awesome once the data builds up!

Only thing I’ve noticed is the reserves where players can be picked in any number allows them to pick up stats in that position. Should just be a bench player rather than say number 15?

Yeah i know. its actually done on purpose. Positions 14-17 are bench players. In some areas their stats are merged and some areas they arent (but will be). There is a bit in that reserves stuff actually (for example 18th man can be activated for rating etc so it becomes 14-18).

Also that reminds me, theres a few subtleties for example the number on the player is the player jersey number (for all the jersey spotters out there - @mt.wellington suggestion from a while back when planning on all this was going on).



and yeah i know about the mpt_captain and the colours on that need adjusting.
