General Finals Week 1 Ticketing Process

We're getting a home play off game.
This is a rarity for our club so far and something we should be celebrating.

The playing slot is usually leaked before hand but formally announced in the hours after the final round 27 game.

Ticketed Member Presales in 2024 began on the Monday at 12pm NZT

Ticketed Members receive a EDM from the NRL with a unique code to purchase tickets Sunday evening or Monday morning.
You could not buy your member seats previously
The game is run by the NRL not the club.

Non competing clubs get a presale opportunity at 3pm Monday. NRL account holders at 6pm Monday.

General Admission ticket sales would start on the Tuesday morning

It’s a good thread to start Juju. I messaged the memberships team to clarify this years process as I, like many members, were pissed off with the process for members. I pay a premium all season to sit in good seats and then get shunted to a different bay a long way for the action at a home final just because the NRL run the finals series. Thought it was shithouse to be fair.

The comms from the club will be interesting.

100% I was fuming at the time. Prioritising NRL commercial partners over ticketed members is a bit off.
The club will also have their partners to look after.

Home playoffs cause absolute pandemonium for the bandwagon.

Securing like for like seats takes a bit of messing around in the ticketing platform - I remember selecting "best available" which placed me far up in the upper east. My preference is lower east. I ended up in a bay four bays over from my usual seats.

My other thought is the game day experience might be a bit lower quality - The Warriors staff have really taken the game day experience up a notch - so will be interesting to see if their is a dip in the production.

I wish they followed the auckland fc model this year where members could book their own seats for a period before it went for others.

Of course some members may want to take other family but you should get to keep the same seats imo

The Raiders have a ticket hub page up already detailing their procedure.
They don't have same seat purchase either.

Our roll out will be the same time frames I'm sure.

pretty convinced its going to be the 6-7 at home next week.

Bloke at work is worried it's going to be the same time as the AB test in wellington which he's going to.

Because of our timezone we almost certain to get the early saturday night timeslot right?

Friday night, no, unless they want to kick off at 9pm NZ time, late saturday no, sunday probably not because the winner will lose a day travelling back to aus.

Nik Brown always sounded uncomfortable doing the PA duties for Warriors Finals games as he had to be as even-handed as possible. And they won''t play the Crowd Chant after the game if we win, most likely, since the NRL are in charge of everything.

On the other hand, the entrance might be less drawn out... I've noticed the Warriors are taking longer to actually walk out onto the field, leaving the Knife sharpening (whatever that sound's meant to be?) sound effect going for a good minute.

I understand the NRL need to oblige their commercial partners over the fans, after all, if they don't give the NRL money, they can't give the clubs money.

I hope we're not playing 7PM Saturday 13th. That clashes with an important family event for me and some rugby thing between the All Beiges and the Bambis

Better not be Sunday night. Worst time slot for out of town fans travelling to Auckland for the game

Just got the finals tickets email:

Warriors Ticketed Members will need their unique 'AAN' (Advantage Access Number) to access tickets. This AAN password will be emailed to you on Friday 5th September. Please keep your AAN Password handy, as it will be required to access tickets throughout the entire Finals Series.

Warriors Ticketed Members will have exclusive access to tickets at the same time each week:

Monday - 12:00 PM NZST

We are unable to offer Season Ticket Holders/Members their same seat(s) at Go Media Stadium, should we host a home Final game.

Unrelated to this larger disscussion but i'm pretty sure the instrument you hear before they run out, is the Pūrerehua. If you mean this sound? Which is just like a oval bit of carved bone, wood or stone. Tied to some kind of cord, which is then swung around at different speeds to get different pitches and tones.

Historically (past two years) 6 v 7 was Sunday clash (4pm aus, 6pm nzt).

With ABs being Saturday night in wellington, nrl could maybe do a 5pm kick off though dont know how it affects their broadcast slots or timing
They can get fluid with the timings.

But pretty certain we will be the Sunday slot.

NRL will want to avoid the All Blacks.
And will want 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 in those prime Friday and Saturday 10pm NZT slots.

For us non members how hard is it to get tickets to the final when they open to the public, or is it almost sold out instantly?
Anyone remember how it was in 23?

Its hard but not impossible - i had friends who got tickets in the south stand on the general sale.

Might be a good idea to purchase a non ticketed membership this week though. Gets you a slightly later pre sale opportunity before the general onsale

Thanks for this.

Pretty sure that's it - although it's more "gravelly" sounding at the Warriors..

I think the NRL should, given COVID etc etc, allocate ticket quality based on much crap the Warriors fan has had to put up with.

I happily concede that I switched off the 6-66 Titans game from last year when it was 0-28 and followed it on this here forum, which was traumatic enough, frankly. But I'd put forward in my attempt to get a better ticket that I sat through all 80 minutes of the 10-16 loss to the Dragons in Round 2 2004 which I still regard as the single most shit game of rugby league I've ever watched as neither team appeared to give a crap.

I'd give nuffink to you BandWagoners who think the loss to the Storm/Titans/Whoever this season was The. Worst. Thing. Ever.

You young 'uns ain't got no idea! :)
