Good luck to Dylan in his future endeavours with the Eels, he was definitely a class act with us, and definitely made up for that time he scored a few tries against us when he was at Souths about 10 years ago (which I distinctly remember being very angry at 😅 ).
As a wrestling fan you would have read the term future endeavours quite a lot followed by 90 day no compete period. I bet players would move a lot less if that was the case.

Also the creative team coaching staff doesn't have anything for them.

He was a player that could get on your nerves as an opposition fan when he was younger. It could be rose tinted glasses as he has been in our colours but I can't remember being frustrated with him when he played for Manly before arriving here.

He had form at Manly, more than just the Pizza place incident. If the James Maloney rumours are true and it was him, as a club you would contain all rumours to offload troubled player. I heard he has had a few issues in Auckland too.

He had form, I prefer guys like him, if rumours are true, have no influence on the kids at the club coming through. Can’t say hand on heart it happened, but pretty sure there was an assault on his ex too. Successful clubs flush these characters out.

Plus, his form had been bang average opening 3 rounds. I’d give my left and right nut to see Leka get some minutes in that role. Changes our attack if he plays it simple and plays what’s in front of him. Any half gaps, good luck stopping him!

Found it. The timing adds up.
Okay, so if this hasn't been taken down/shut down because of lawyer threats and since I can't Google it accurately enough, the bad thing Mr Walker did was?

I don't really care because Dylan was always in a position I thought we could cover well enough if he wasn't there ie utility 14 covering 3-4, 10-11 maybe if the shit hits the fan 6-7 but jeez that's going to shut things down there as attack ain't his thing.

Listened to this today - quite a good interview, I thought. Walker seems to be loving his time at the Eels, but has plenty of admiration for the Club, Webby and Tohu, and is excited about the young boys (Vaimauga and Leka, in particular).

Glad I checked this thread, as I was going to post in the Webby one.

Interesting comment from Walker (51:00 to 52:45) re structured footy. Probably not surprising, but it confirms the very structured approach that we see Webby has had the boys playing. He did appear to express some frustration about it generally - not just at Webby, but I'd image Webby was one of the "some coaches" to some degree.

I'm wondering how detrimental to our attack last year was Walker leaving for the Eels. While he was here it was noticable how much our attack seemed to improve or lift when he was on the field.
Johnson commented on how valuable he found Walker in helping get the side to a specific area of the field. So having that experience would have helped our halves. We may have looked a bit better on attack. His experience would have been nice.

They also tried to manufacture some of his skills trying to build TMM's versatility.

Clark played well at 13. Both starting and adding to our go forward late in the game. Having Walker available may have provided some debate with the interchanges in terms of what we need to end the game. Clark go forward to close out a game or Walker to chase points.

I was a big fan of his work here and was worried when his release was announced. To be honest that didn't last long as results were going well.

His leaving meant we got more experience built up in the younger guys.

How much we wanted the passing within the middle of the field we may see next season when we see their plans on how they use Gannon.

Yeah agree with all of that. It does feel like Gannon may have been bought in to fill that void. Big fan of Clark and he got lock of the year but felt he may have stifled our attack with his lack of ball playing. I think we can still get the same output from him at prop or off the bench. Thats if Gannon settles in quickly and if they see him as that ball playing lock we are missing currently
