Possibly - when you have RTS and Taine behind you, there is always an amount of pressure.

That being said, someone needed to play 6 and most of us came to the same conclusion that it would have to be Taine.

With much less experience, the coaches seem to have opted for Taine to slot back into the 1.

CNK has moved into 6 a couple of times mid-game if memory serves me correct.

For me, I think it's TMM who is under most pressure. If Taine provides spark and CNK handles 6 well then it is TMM who will make way for SJ.
Looking at the nsw cup stats against the knights for instance, Tuaupiki looks to take plenty of the last tackle kicks with bombs, forced in goal and grubbers listed. If he’s doing this from a first or second receiver place, surely CNK is at the back as the fullback cover? Haven’t been watching enough nsw cup to see how they’re performing this with Tuaupiki fullback?

I hope DWZ stays in the meantime as for the simple fact we dont have the speed machines that the other top teams have .Would be nice to snare a decent winger for nxt year.

In a team playing attacking enterprise football, DWZ is one of the first names on the teamsheet.

In a team down on confidence doing alot of defending then you may as well play with 12 men.

There were rumours he was on 800k a year, if true and he wants out let him go. If he is on a more realistic 500kish a year try to keep him for remainder of contract

NO way worth 800k ... surely that kind of money could secure a Reimis smith + still have some spare cap to throw around

He signed as marquee spine player by the Dogs at $850k, which turned out to be a colossal mistake on their part. They paid part of his contract when he transferred to us to get him off the books.

There is no way in hell that the Warriors are paying that for him. Guesses at the time were between 400-450. There were arguments at the time that that was still too much.

Where would DWZ sit amungst our greatest wingers? Consistent try scoring ability, meters made with hard running kick returns and consistent penalty earner 😉

Flawed defensive reads but seems par for the course for our best wingers!

Got to be in the running for a spot in our best all time 13?

Been a few years but Francis Meli was a very good tackler from memory. I would have him head and shoulders above DWZ.

Top 5 but not the top 2.
  1. Francis Meli
  2. Manu Vatuvei
  3. Sean Hoppe
Fa'afili, DWZ, Fusitu’a... can't think of anyone else worth mentioning.
