NRL Concussion/CTE

He will have more than that but slowly seeing yourself lose control of your voluntary movements would hit deep.
The bloke I know with it has found peace and calm even as his affected appetite has seen him physically wither away.

He was recently on steroids to try and kick start his adrenaline gland which was apparently on the Fritz. I told him I could get us a Harley trike so he could sit in the seat with a seat belt. Then I could take us on the Pacific highway and break the speed limit by heaps so the cops would pursue us. Then I'd tell his story while we get arrested. I told him I was quite confident that would get his adrenaline gland cranking. That or I could take him to the pub and get us into a fight. We settled on having a pie. Which he was medically prescribed. Mine was voluntary.

Sorry for a sensitive question but has he considered euthanasia or he’s wanting to spend every moment available?

I haven't gone that deep yet but by the way he and family are pursuing every avenue while knowing what the outcome will be kind of indicates that they would like to overcome it if there is hope. But that conversation must be in there somewhere for them. Suffering is hard.

A guy I work with coached jai as a kid and is good friends with his dad ray.
He called ray yesterday to offer some support and to his surprise jai answered- he said he was caught off guard and was stumbling on his words and jai just said “it’s alright baldy (his nic name) it’s gonna be ok- how r those dragons going?” (His team) and chuckled- then said “I’ll get dad for ya.”
Not sure what happened after that coz baldy broke down crying while telling the story but it gave a bit of an insight into the type of man jai is- he must be going through hell but still trying to make it easier on everyone else.
Strong and selfless.

That is shithouse. Shithouse seeing someone's struggle. But shithouse because there's no clear fix.

@wizard of Tauranga. I was wondering if as a sparky you had any thoughts about how circuitry and connectors and wires correlated in any way?

Just because I'm a curious bloke that has pie in the sky ideas.
Mate, way above my pay grade!

Brains are a super complex thing, with billions of connection. I just try to make sure the light switches in a house turn on the right lights!

I wonder if an electrical diagram overlay could be created so that the electrical stuff could be cross referenced. Like say an earthquake shakes a house and messes with wiring. Anyway I digress. That's enough of my theoreticals.

Yeah, that's the huge crappy moment to ask yourself:
Do I keep going as long as I can because I want to see my granddaughter marry/whatever (even if I know I won't remember it).
Or do I end it now and break everyone's heart because I made that choice?

Gee that's stink Bro Kevin.

In an era of Beer sponsorship, tobacco and gambling, Kevin was clean living. No smokes no booze no gambling.

A real gentleman and family man. Great orator, lovely story telling.

Dallin Watene Zelezniak's great uncle basically ordered Kevin to play Rugby League (Kevin famously said when he saw it on T.V. "what a stupid game").

Kevin is in my all time Kiwis side. People talk these days about enforcers.....pffft

I love how Kevin got Widness to shout his boy to a trip to Disney Land and to take it out of his contract before arriving to play England.
