International "Changes to SOO"

Isaiya Katoa in 2023 on a potential rugby switch one day - “It would definitely be for New Zealand. I was born in New Zealand and spent my first 9-10 years in New Zealand”. If that’s his attitude then surely a decent chance of switching to the Kiwis now.
I think it will be hard to get back the ones we've already lost but at least moving forward we'll be on a level playing field.
If u look at the international scene there's so many players playing for other countries who represented the junior kiwis- I think that's where we have to start building that loyalty to the black and white.

The players eligibility can be all over the show
AFB I think was born in Sydney Australia - lived and played for a queensland junior club at 5.
Moved to NSW as a boy. Played for the Kiwis. But reps Tonga.

It wouldn’t be a great look for Katoa if he suddenly switched to the Kiwis aye. But geez, things aren’t suddenly looking super great for Tonga after getting thrashed last year & hardly winning a game recently. Samoa on the other hand look like going from strength to strength assuming this origin eligibility situation doesn’t disrupt them too much.
