You know that excitement turns into people getting too carried away and ranting and sniping at each other when the player does not go round winning games single handedly.

Webby don’t select his players on skill anyway, its all hard workers, how hard is this cat able to work?
There is also a Kiwi culture (ex English culture) of tut tutting public displays of excessive emotion - in this case excitement expressed through hyperbole (A ghost of the humility and social calming control of the class system - understatement being a sign of good breeding and a nod to class "showing the under classes how one should comport themselves" and therein the emerging middle class took it further by adopting the stoicism of the steady man in grey suit, reliable, earnest, honest, and frowning upon the Aristocracies excesses and eccentricities [pupil becomes teacher])

Bear with me, but this is why this attitude pisses me off....English middle class Stoicism became the measure of Manliness....which is why you get New Zealand men doing their own tut tutting and excitement dampening, because it is a paternalistic expression of power and control, of male authority.

Ergo the Stereo typical New Zealand good bloke adverts, Older man sits quietly on a horse, younger man talks about a girl that has a rich father "500sl Mercedes, a box at Eden Park, she doesn't drink Speights but".

"She's a hard road finding the perfect woman"

"Good on ya mate".

Dunno about you, but I don't wanna spend my life sitting on a horse waiting to drop one liners every time you're having a deep and meaningful...but more than that...I don't wanna listen to the fun police anymore.....(I do love those Speights adds but lol).

Excuse the lecture....to your point about the toxic one up-manship that comes from mocking people for player X not turning out to be Laurie Daley...that is just more of the same power bullshit.

Can I point out that not one single poster has talked about Cassius Tia as a starter in our Current NRL squad (that I am aware of).....so if that is getting carried away....then shit they might as well turn the forum into a dry monologue of dead non interactive posting.

This forum thrives on the emotion, the dreamers, the rose tinted glass wearing cult that has always kept the Warriors alive. And I do still enjoy the dry balls fun police in their own odd ball way of communication - when they actually check their own behavior and look at facts like no one is saying Tia is ready to replace any of their favorite little faboi pets.

The question isn’t whether Tia is better than CHT right now it’s whether his peak will be better than CHT’s. But that’s the question over Tia is whether he can reach his potential as he’s now at his 3rd club and hasn’t debut in the NRL.
Some people bloom in due season. Leka and Bishop Neal look like they were born first grade ready. Tanah and Ford and Barney and Pompey are good examples of getting growth conditions right. Same needs to be done for fruit, veges and cannabis.

It seems as though all the controversy over Xerri was caused by Tia likely taking over right centre. Obviously he got homesick and came home just show’s how versatile he is can play half’s, centre and fullback

A lot of glazing going on in this thread. Also a lot of wild speculation too.

No one knows definitively why he left or was released by the club. He may have been part of an underground child trafficking ring selling blood to the worlds elites, he may have missed his targets for the Doggies or he may have just missed his mothers cooking. We dont know.

If he really was the love child of JT he would have debuted already. He's obviously got some serious deficiencies in his game or the Bulldogs would have overlooked his blood selling side hustle or moved his mother over to cook for him. There is no position that holds more currency in the game than that of a halfback and clubs have done a lot worse to hold onto a genuine game breaker.

The hype being built up here reminds me of the mania surrounding the signing of Harry Siejka and how he was going to moonwalk into the team and instantly dethrone Thomas Leuluai lol. I promise you all right now that Cassius Tia will not be replacing a fit Chanel Harris-Tavita. Not anytime soon. They aren't even in the same weight class despite how poorly some people view CHT. Cassius maybe a NSW Cup star but put CHT against him and watch CHT run rings around him and the whole team all game. Reality is CHT is a now a seasoned NRL level player four games away from his 100th match. Cassius has potential but potential means you could maybe do it but havent done it yet. This is the difference between potential and reality. This is the difference between Chanel and Cassius.

How about we let the guy come here, develop and prove himself before hailing him the second coming of Christ. Lets not forget they crucified the first fella...
I know the conspiracy theories you're referring to. The blood is called adrenochrome.

Eyes wide shut legendary director died during post production and the 30min ritual scene was altered, ending of the movie was dark af and he was clearly exposing something 20 years ago

Anyway Tia better not be into that 😂
