Gutsy and relentless, consistent applied pressure and the points eventually flowed.

One of my favourite wins under Webby's watch.

Tanah's field kicking was a major decider in the difference between the two. But he really tried to be physical with his defence tonight, and that made a big difference on that edge not being so tentative.

Jake and Leka holding down the edges well without Capewell can't be overlooked, and TSS being an absolute mongrel in his work.

Lastly my boy Ford, another top shelf performance.

Very satisfying win after last years carry on from them. Was sure it was going to be a long night after our adversity at the start but that was one gutsy performance. The spirit put into our defence was very inspiring, there were a few times they got scrums on our ten that I was sure they would score in this weather but we held them out bravely

far out, losing capewell pre-game and CHT 6 min in and we still do this!! against a team that beat us twice last year, in wet weather.. wow! tanah was impressive given he lost his halves partner!

not sure if it's just the new rules making blowout scores easier but hey we will take it! great for the for and against!

now rest up next week chanel and come back firing please (assuming he only misses next week, he will play his 100th game vs melbourne at aami park, the site of the dreaded 2022 nut rupture... full circle?)

They got through quite a bit of adversity in that game.

Lost Capewell before the game. Gannon on the bench to potentially do double duty.

Lost one of our halves. Losing a play maker didn't hold them back. Both CNK deserve praise. CNK moved up and did well. Did a lot of work up in the line. Tuaupiki was great, even sparked the attack in the conditions.

Another one that needs to be singled out. Ford. Damn what a motor on the guy.
