Interesting interview with TMM.
Talked about how he didn't train for 7 and so Taine and Wade were the drivers behind the game.

Just listened to this, great insight from within the club that confirms what we already know…..cohesion, culture etc and players that have bought into Webbys system, I think TMM even mentioned that the club is in the best shape he’s ever seen?
Marvellous!!
Big take away from me is that foil the boys have for attacking structures.
Seems less complex and less reliant on specific skillsets than previous years.

1) That was a tough Broncos team and we have lost to them before during origin
2) Adam Pompey was my Man of the Match. If you watch him closely you can't help but admire his defensive awareness. Not his defence as he doesn't do big hits or great spot tackles, but his defensive awareness. He sees the opposition putting on shape and reads it like the seasoned pro he is and he just shuts it down. Even when they number up on his edge and outnumber us by inserting their fullback into the shape he still shuts it down. And he uses depth well where he will retreat behind the line of advantage or collision line. Most centres with less experience will make a stand and attempt to tackle in line with the other defenders. And while this is is excellent for presenting a united defensive line, Pompey uses license to only do this 80% of the time, the other times he will stand back and concede a metre or two in order to better read the shape coming at him. He has become a defensive master mind and with him in the line up I was confident we had the game won when it got to half time.
3) Khan Periera. What a silly play with us up by 20 points getting over enthusiastic and trying to put a big shot on and as a result getting himself sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes. The only answer I can give is that he comes from the Titans. It has probably been a long time since he played in a game where his team was winning comfortably by 20 points before half time and didn't know how to compose himself.
After the match I took great interest in watching a conversation between he and Kurt Capewell where Kurt was explaining something to him and AKP was nodding his head to the lesson. It is great we have leaders in the group who can settle down the inexperienced ones. AKP should be better for this game if he learns from it.
I actually loved the play from AKP. I thought he made the correct decision, was aggressive, and went early so that others could slide behind him if necessary. Execution was slightly off but intent was correctWrighty's analysis
