10 day cooling period could be interesting!!!
It was waived. I doubt he'd be inclined to take it anyway. The family will already be mentally prepared for home.

I got annoyed about Luke being 20 last week instead of Cup, but right there you can see why you need to carry a half on the bench. TMM and Linnane have also shown that players don't necessarily come back rusty (though Metcalf sure was).

Bottom line we got the better Pahs assistant coach but bottom line is we need to place the shine on the players. We were never losing this because of the leadership we have in the playing group and the fcuk the noise attitude. Watch how clinical the experience players are in shifting the donkeys where we want them.. the camaraderie.. as a former player so very proud
So much noise over Cirraldo for so long. Everyone wanted him, it was the Ciraldo sweepstakes, media was going nuts. Then we quietly got Webby. I don't know if I would want anyone else now. I use to dream of Bellamy or Ivan. Perhaps Ivan is better, but apart from Ivan, I don't know of another coach who suits us more. Webby's honour, attitude, humility. He's definitely much better than Cirraldo. He is the perfect coach for the Warriors , I think.

Ennis sounded like he loved the warriors tonight and fans that showed up for the whole round, in commentary it sounded like he had backed Zelezniak to score again.
Not pre match.
It was Cameron Munster is going to have a big game.
Broncos were going to have a monumental upset.

Basically anything he predicts prematch the opposite happens. Maybe its a good thing...

It's good that Wayde has quality back-up given his history of head knocks. Fewer minutes on the field means he'll play more games rather than sitting out HIA protocols.
I was really surprised he didn't get HIA'd after that knock in defence in first half. His head got smashed by a knee or hip first contact then his head bounced/smashed into the ground.

Since Cronk has retired there have been times his commentary has frustrated me. Some of his points are coming from a guy who has played behind stacked sides and you can work points nearly when you feel like it.

When he first retired he was criticising Reynolds case about turning preliminary finals into premierships. It takes a lot to win this competition. Not all halfbacks have the teams he had.

Today we needed to turn the early posession in their 20 into points.

We did have our starting halfback. If ever attack was going to look clunky or take a bit to click. That is a reasonable time.

Teams also aim to wear out the opposition. It may have ended up paying dividends in the second half. As have seen over the years it isn't uncommon for this side to run over sides in the last 20 minutes.

I was more pissed off at Ennis. He was clear in the pre-game that he was tipping Brisbane and was riding Brisbane hard all game like a biased broncos forumer. I just had a listen to the channel 9 commentary and it's far more neutral and gives a far different outlook of the game- ie we were just too dominant.

Is it a known issue with the Suncorp field? If so, they shouldn't be holding magic round there, too many games. Can't have players getting injured cos the ground can't handle it.
I was thinking earlier today with Perth and PNG coming in. Then hopefully a 20th team with a 2nd NZ team. That scheduling so many games at one ground could be an issue.

It is pushing it now.

It could be possible to split it over two venues and make use of time zones.

Have a few games in Christchuch at the new stadium. Just a suggestion of course.;)

Ennis is a poser and backs his idea of a winner everytime as long as it's not us
100% he’ll back his former team and then switch up when they get owned. No doubting his iq but definitely a tag along b yi itch

If this whole Metcalf thing didn't play out and he was on the bench does he come on and we still when the game?

If he went well then the savior returns! If he went crabby and we lose we blame lack of game time and debate whether tmm would have done better

In the alternate universe

nope. Just like last year, we'd be in the red zone all game due to our dominant pack and it would still be like 6-6 or 8-6 going to the final quarter. Mets would then come up with something spectacular to win the game in GP. TMM being more of a game managing half like Boyd just continued where Tanah left off. It was as if nothing happened.
