Saw a video on my YT feed for this when I woke up this morning thinking WTF.

I did a quick search on how long it stays in your system. I don't VADA would go straight to a hair follicle test. So, he likely took it pretty close to the fight.
How long does cocaine stay in your body? After your last use, cocaine can remain detectable in your system for weeks. It will remain detectable to tests in your blood and salvia for up to 2 days (48 hours), urine for up to 4 days (96 hours), and hair follicles for up to 90 days.

Facing a two year ban. He's not at an age where he can afford to wait two years. Also he performs better when he's active.

That’ll be his career then. He doesn’t have 2 years to wait around

Is he facing a ban for this? It’s not like it would enhance his performance
The video I watched was talking 2 years. Might be up to 2 years. Also mentioned it used to be 4. I'll admit after while I had that video on as back ground noise.

The Stuff article had the following.
Any potential ban would be handed down by UK Anti-Doping (Ukad) and the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC).

Hopefully the second test shows it out of his system and it was a weak sample from a while ago? Really surprised at this from him on his professionalism he displays, not to partake but to do it close to a fight? Would be a shame to see his career finish like this

He missed a random drug test years ago after a fight because he went on holiday and didn’t tell the testers.

His name was bought up in the meth importing case a few years ago…

I wouldn’t imagine with the sort of money floating around that it would be easy to dodge? Ufc seems to let fighters indulge in cannabis being that it’s not going to enhance performance at all and I personally agree that performance enhancing is where they should stop fighters gaining advantage. Not disputing what you’re saying, but innocent until proven guilty in this case is where I’m leaning

I'm particularly excited about the Jake Paul vs AJ fight today.
The prospect ofJake getting wrecked is mouthwatering combine with the "surely he can't win" 0.001% chance unknown element.

Will probably end up being a dud - but I want chaos .

Paul gassed from running and trying to grapple. As a novice he can't clinch like a boxer so ended up going too low and it looked like an MMA fight at times. That would have used a more of his gas tank as well.

It was funny though seeing Paul's demeanour change as more punches landed. Realising these weren't from the smaller or older guys he has been fighting.

It is great having fight cards on Netflix as it is convenient.

It would be better to have more of the Canelo vs Crawford type cards. At least the Paul fights against older guys aren't costing us extra I suppose.

Joshua's new trainers are from Usyk's stable. They will want to work on his cutting off the ring. Mind you he had a big ring and a guy pretty much moving constantly. Paul was far enough away a lot of the time he could keep his hands down.

Around the time of the first knockdown when Paul backed back and limped like he had done his ankle I thought we were going to get a dodgy injury finish.

Credit to him for getting up when he was gassed and getting beaten up. Mind you for the insane money he was making as a fighter and promoter most people likely would have taken their punishment.

The womens fight going from 2 to 3 rounds was interesting.

MMA they used to do shorter rounds 3 minutes instead of 5. The fights were a faster pace and it was a point of difference to the men's divisions. MMA overall was still a new sport back then. They probably have been fighting 5 rounds now longer than 3.

It will be interesting to see if more fights get sanctioned to 3 minutes. If they leave it up to the fighters you'd expect a lot will take it up.

They will need to work a lot more on their cardio. The Canadian fighter did well fighting through and got some good shots in late in the fight. She ended up having to fight through nearly an extra fight compared to what they normally fight. If she hadn't had many 10x2 minute rounds 3x12 is hard work.
