Change that to 45 for 5Hopefully I can post on this thread.
Looking like a belter in India. 😉
India 44 for 4.
Meh... I like seeing the different conditions and contest.Matthew Hayden fired up calling out the wicket.
Crazy spin from the 6th over.
Did well without the options of Boult, Jamieson, Milne, Ferguson.they owe us one
The weather forecast possibly played a factor also. There were showers forecast for the final two days which they might have thought could take time out of the game, but they never arrived.Given the state of the pitch at the time, I'm not sure why they didn't bat again and put on a lead of close to 500. Gives their bowlers a rest and puts us in the field, wearing us down on a pitch that looked ok to bat on.
Must have thought we may have been fragile enough to roll again quickly.
I reckon alongside England we now produce the best wickets for test cricket.
Wagner out for second test, Henry might be in doubt with his hand, our bowling looks very light. We have gone from having a strong bowling lineup with some depth to not looking very strong at all quite quickly. If you love test cricket like me, don't look at the future tours programme for NZ. We tour Bangladesh on rank turners at the very end of the year...that is it unless something last minute is squeezed in. Hence the conjecture around Wagner, though Aussie touring next summer might entice him to stay.
I'd be tempted to call time after two great wins if it was me.
As innocuous as our test attack is becoming, I still thought Sri Lanka were awesome coming into our conditions on very little cricket.
I really thought this would be it this year for waggy! Probably another one that will force the coaching staff to make a call. I really have a gripe with how some players dont get to go out the way they should. If you love test cricket like me, don't look at the future tours programme for NZ. They played between 3:30 and 7:30 and got around 60 overs in. Can't remember the exact number but it was just enough!Anyone able to give me an idea of how much they played today & between what times? The weather was shit here until 4pm so I'm surprised they got much play in at all

There are well defined hours of play and play would continue until time had expired.I was wondering what the rules are if the alloted final day's overs have been bowled but the umpires still deem a result as still likely. Could the umpires get together and annouce "We're having another half hour!"? Or do they consult both captains, although I can see one of them obviously would say "We can nail this in thirty minutes!" and the other would be all "No, that cuts into our watching everyone bitch and cry on MAFS time, mate, let's knock it on the head!"
