International Ashes 2025

Disappointing second half from England. They came out full of piss and vinegar but the halves play was utterly directionless, couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

They desperately need to find a couple of forwards with some serious mongrel, and a back or two with X factor to compliment Herbie.

From speaking to Super League fans, they're seriously concerned about England slipping to second tier calibre given the rise of Tonga/Samoa and the lack of promising young players in their systems.

Isn’t nrl closing in on buying super league? People like Lockyer buying into London broncos means he probably knows what’s on the cards?

We had 10 bad minutes after half time, although whilst defence was good for the other 70 minutes we didn’t really look like scoring.

I know there has been criticism of the fields. Seen some for the markings. Also get a bit in England with the in goals. I've seen some criticism that the football fields are too short and aren't wide enough.

One thing though. They had a shot of the surrounding area for the stadium for the second test. It looked like what a waterfront stadium could look like in Auckland.

Both of the stadiums for the first two test have been nice stadiums.

What's the deal with Cleary....looks like Superman in a Panthers jumper but once he puts a NSW or Kangaroos one on he tends to go missing. You'd think it would be the opposite, stack a team with even better players and he should be even better.

Imo he's getting to that point where people will start to question his place in the game as one of the greatest. Was looking odds on for being the greatest a few years ago but yeah, he hasn't been able to step it up to that next level very often.

What did I miss?
The kangaroos lose last night?
Nope
Judging by the score line they thumped England

Superman was not needed to rescue the team

Geez England losing 3-0 at home is pretty embarrassing. Are England really that bad? They used to be competitive once upon a time. I would like to see them take on the Kiwis in a similar series and see how they fare against them.

Aussie are just too good, they could smash the Kiwis too (note I said could and not would).

England show'd them too much respect, which was frustrating because when England stopped being like deer in the headlights they made the games more competitive in phases.

The only way to beat Australia is to take it to them and to be perfect on defence.

It does look as though the Poms are in a lull talent wise, dunno who they have coming through, but they need some hearty types, which are a dying breed.

England had a lot of ball in good territory in this game. Especially when in was 12-8.

They were lucky that Burgess knee didn't get the penalty reversed. He then made the silly mistake carrying on with the tackle soon after.

There were a few mistakes that lead to them defending more than they should have that led to the score blowing out.

The Walsh defection was unlucky.
