Not big on passing, Roger. If he and then khan himself just soccer the ball ahead instead of fumbling for the pickup he probably gets a runaway.

Got to play him against his old team at least.

Roger might kick it into the crowd though 😂 Pompey’s suspended for 2 weeks so should get another game. Looks pretty strong under the bombs too

If Roger has unlocked his centre potential or good enough to fill in, we then have the option of 1 of CNK/TT starting at 1 the other as 18 and if a centre or wing gets injured mid game TT can cover wings and Roger can move one in and CNK stays or comes on as FB, or they could persist with RTS/AKP combo

Or they could have AKP as 18 and Roger to cover FB and centre, either way hopefully the days of a second rower to cover centre is over

I think it's possible to use AKP like Manly do with Saab. I've always been envious of those brilliant attacking plays they have where they send Saab flying down the sideline to score tries. AKP can do that for us.

I was disappointed AKP never got the ball on any decent attacking plays...GREEDY inside players!! The guy's got serious pace
I hope Rocco comes back fit but even the out of form Pomps will get some nice offloads to him ..RTS must have thought he was still on the wing
He must surely play again next week. Got to give the BOY some more FG time early in the season

It was pretty funny seeing AKP do the arms wide appeal from Roger as Roger went in to score.

Two things, our players aren't greedy, they just are majorly rubbish at passing a ball, this is the most frustrating thing about NZ league and has been the issue forever, you see them throwing rubbish ball every other play, so when they are 'hot'on attack they are amping and scared to pass, coz they know when they pass under pressure they are gonna fk it up..... so they run and hope......and the other point is that no one passes the ball to the new guy - sports psychology 101, look at Gannon in NSW cup, basically their best player, first few games ends up running into gaps with no one passing him the ball.

I think AKP will be fine, I think Tanah will find him and start using him if CHT doesn't....(CHT will find AKP's wing - like how Gannon is now getting all the ball he needs in cup once the newness has worn off).

The last five minutes of the game from AKP were not that great, he has that problem (Titans habit) where a massive lead on the scoreboard with a guaranteed win allows some slackening off (he was looking for drinks bottle top ups while Melbourne were live with the ball, and he made a half hearted hug at Warbrick).

Not gonna bag him but, because obviously he was trying a lot harder last night than he did for the Titans.

I like what AKP has to offer and the Warriors need to utilse his speed , especially up against that newe Tongan / St Peters winger that the Titans have this year. AKP could easily run around him and wouldn't be so easy up against Sami.
Put $ on AKP to score a try , if not 1st try scorer.
Webby also needs to unlock the attacking key for Leka - in terms of involvement and getting him into gaps . I agree with Webster, ATM his best position is from the bench.

I wish he had been able to stay on his feet when he got that break with an open field in front of him.....really wouldve loved to have seen him with the after burners on and in full flight, and see just how much distance he couldve put on the chasers.
He looked fast while stumbling. If we use him as the offensive weapon he can be it will rack up a good few tries on the end of a backline performing off last week's platform

We seem to be better shifting the ball to the right tho. Dals side. Tend to open up that side of the field better for some reason and create space for that edge.....the left doesnt seem to get as many oppertunities.

They could work on some chip kicks to him from halfway

Yeah, I find that weird too unless you have a bunch of southpaws on that side. Most pass better and have better balance going right to left. Seems to work for us for some reason so keep it up I reckon.

Its a lot to do with the movements of our players. Right centre is usually working with the Right winger to put them into space should there be an opportunity. Have a look at RTS's receive to pass ratio and look at each time he got the ball in the last game. He never looked like wanting to pass the ball or to even consider that as an option. He was good defensively, but his attack in centre position is below average at this level. He is the 2026 version of prop at centre.

Ill just leave this here. All the Warriors centres for games since 2024. I am unsure if RTS should be a season long strategy at centre.

Hmmm… CNK clearly our best centre!
