Looks like his defensive positioning is up there too. A couple times they looked stripped for numbers and he rushed in and stopped it dead in its tracks. Would love to see him with a cup debut this year, will probably be through injury. He played fb in the trails…could he take the spot off Doyle?

Jack Thompson must be close to being a starting half for NSW in U19 State of Origin.
I'd pick Lincoln Fletcher (Eels) at 7 and Jack Thompson at 6.
Last year's Australian Schoolboys halves Toby Batten and Callum Grantham are not far behind. Both playing well but still in U19 comps.
Inch and Bishop have unreal chemistry, just know where each other is going to be down that left edge.
Brandon Norris just continues to impress. Get this guy in NSW cup asap, he's too good for Flegg.
I don't think Pasikala is a fullback but seems to be the only way they can fit all that talent in the backline.
Sio Kali was good at the end. That last try he set up for Norris was incred.

Jack Thompson a star in the making! Such a talent! I’m not sure how long he is contracted at the club for. But I’m sure clubs will be trying to attract him back to Australia

Jeremiah Lemana starting at centre in Flegg this weekend seems to have gone under the radar.
Is this the first time we've had an elite age grade Australian talent on our books?

Aussie clubs would be lining up to sign him. Hope he stays loyal.
There's no other U19 halves in Australia right now that are playing NSW cup/QLD cup. Only a couple are even playing Jersey Flegg at this very point in the season.
I think our development pathway goes under the radar over there. Not many people knew about Leka over there until he had already played a handful of first grade games. No one is really talking about Bishop Neal over there when he should be getting Payne Haas/Joseph Suaalii hype.
Its a good thing for us I guess. Keeps them grounded and away from the media machine over there.
It's going to be hard keeping Thompson a secret from across the ditch once he starts getting picked in rep teams etc like NSW U19 etc.
We have to be prioritising this kid's development over Cleary, Hanson, Linnane and Tia in my opinion, the ceiling is just so much higher.

Surpised he's pushed out Vake who has been really strong these first couple rounds.
Would've thought you play him at fullback to accomodate

Hope he carves up. He trained with the first grade squad later than others this preseason alongside jack Thompson, so obviously rated highly
Thompson and Neal could push for NRL spot by the end of the year. Similar to Joey Walsh and Makasini did last year
If it comes down to Cleary or Thompson, I hope it's Thompson.
