NZWarriors.com

Origin 1 Sydney
Before - Dragons (a)
After - Panthers (a) on the Sunday

Origin 2 Melb
Before - Sharks (h)
After - Cowboys (chch)

Origin 3 Brisbane
Before - Bye
After - Tigers (a) on the Sunday

Origin 1 would be a crazy week to be in Sydney as a Wahs fan
Panthers probably all back up

Origin 2 probably no one really missing from the Sharks, but maybe a few of the Cowboys don't travel to Christchurch.

Origin 3 our only origin bye. Any Tigers would back up.

Very on-brand for the NRL to bin the Draw Analysis Tool after one year. Probably have to wait until late Feb for the ladder predictor to be up as well..

6x 6-day turnarounds
7x 7-day turnarounds
7x 8-day turnarounds
1x 9-day turnaround

14x Saturday Games (5x Home, 9x Away)

that time away from mt smart is absurd, not just for the fans, but for the logistics of flying the team back and forth every week.

4 games in the month of May, and none of them in NZ. Cameron! Stop saying yes to magic round!

But other than that, looks good. Sharks and glamour team should not be used in the same sentence.

Anzac in wellington - great for me - but against the dolphins of all teams? Another early season chance to roll the purple filth at their home ground, always ends in tears.

Surely all back-to-back non-Mt Smart matches, the team hunkers down somewhere in Straya?? Only send injured to/bring reinforcements from Auckland would be how I'd run it, especially the May period.
Or bring a larger than usual group to start with.
Guess the Knock On, Jersey Flegg etc draws will help in working out travel logistics.
With all this, I can see absolutely why Cameron is fine with Magic Round being a Home game. We're going to need that tree fiddy we'll get from the NRL!

No complaints from me in Chch. I'll predict the Mt Smart faithful will be a bit annoyed at such a long stretch between games there mid season though
Yeah, that's a bit rough - no mt smart from round 7-15 and again from 15-20 -- that's shit. Other than that it's a good draw

4 pretty challenging teams in the first 6 weeks, and then Broncos, Sharks and Penny in a 4 week period (5 including a bye) are probably the biggest worries for me.

Imo, will be our biggest challenge of the year - if we get through those 7 games with a 4/7 record I think we comfortably make the 8, however we could easily be 1 or 2 out of those 7, which means that we're kinda playing catch up for the whole season.

Would have preferred a softer draw lol, but I guess if we get 4/9 in those first games before Barney and Metcalf are back we could certainly go on a bit of a run

Barney should be back R1 but he'll miss a heap of games for SOO AND I doubt they'll let him back up this season, probably in our best interest he doesn't make SOO

The run home seems to be favorable as usual

According to the Sydney morning herald we have the easiest draw in the nrl next season. Based purely on last years ladder position of the teams we play in 2026

Code Sports gives our draw an A-

Luck of the draw: The Warriors should have no qualms in pushing for an even better finish in 2026, only having to play last year's top three sides just once the entire campaign. They’ve been heavily favoured with over 50 per cent the season against teams who didn’t play finals last year. They’re also one of the lucky teams to boast zero 5 day turnarounds and a massive 17 times with 7 days or more.

Play twice: Knights (Rds 3, 26), Tigers (Rds 4, 19), Broncos (Rds 11, 24), Panthers (Rds 13, 23), Titans (Rds 7, 22), Sharks (Rds 5, 15), Dolphins (Rds 8, 17), Dragons (Rds 12, 20)

Play once: Roosters (Rd1), Raiders (Rd2), Storm (Rd6), Eels (Rd9), Cowboys (Rd16), Bulldogs (Rd21), Rabbitohs (Rd25), Sea Eagles (Rd27)

Byes: Rounds 10, 14, 18

Verdict: The Warriors have a more than ideal run for much of the campaign. If they can get through their toughest block in the middle of the season, their favourable draw could help them climb even higher than last season’s 6th place finish.

Games played against 2025 top eight, bottom nine teams:

Top eight: 10

Top four: 5

Bottom nine: 14

Bottom four: 7

Five-day turnarounds: 0

Six-day turnarounds: 6

Seven-plus day turnarounds: 17

Grade: A-
