Americans are too weak to level the types of questions that brought Andrew Windsor down.
So this is a bit of a shock/and watershed moment for US broadcasters (even though Trump was too stupid to realise he was walking into a trap).
Normally Trump would gas light his response and use miss direction, this time he lost it and the interviewee got her historic gottcha with her "oh so you thought he was talking about you?".
A lot of these headlines are clickbait, but in that clip, Trump did indeed lose his shit and forgot his default mode of "Manifesto? I never heard of it?" "this person is a proven whack job, he tried to kill innocent people, why would you be interested in anything a whack job say's?" "Who knows who he was talking about? It could have been anyone? probably because the fake media keeps trying to attack this beautiful administration by bringing up the fake files....We released the files....the Democrats tried to keep them hidden"
In New Zealand the Manifesto would be off the table for security reasons/copy cat risk etc.
In other civilized societies, quoting a lone actor who wrote a rant about pedophiles would be seen as totally inappropriate.
Yet here we are, in the twilight zone, Sixty minutes a global brand for investigative journalism, using the rantings of a deeply psychologically disturbed individual to bait the highest political office in the world.
Thanks Trumpanzees, you couldn't script this shit, loonies being loons, all morons who are looking for a leader go that way....follow the orange glow.
