Politics πŸ€‘ Donald Trump

The USA have a framed it as a holy war just to prey on the stupidity of MAGA
Don't underestimate their fundamentalism

Interesting read and thinking about the big picture stuff.

All those calling Trump a Russian asset, he’s systematically taking down Russias allies while they are bogged down in Ukraine and unable to offer support.

Rightly or wrongly, it’s strategically a cunning power play from the US to weaken Russia long term.
Rasht-Astara railroad cut off with Iran, Venezuela oil, Syria and now Cuba being mentioned. It certainly looks quite strategic. Or is it just a convenient coincidence that these countries are Russia allies?

It appears the vast majority of people in Venezuela and Iran are happy to see regime change.

Russian allies, or chinese ones?
Bit of both perhaps?

Russia bogged down in the Ukraine seems like the more likely option and if it affects China as well that's a bonus?

Perhaps allies isn't quite the right word. Perhaps beneficial to Russia is a better description?

Other way round I personally think. Russia is getting offered a few offroads to de-escalate, which places immense pressure on China.

While Mao’s groupies seem to think it’s proof of Putin owning Trump, making peace with Russia solves the European problem. That fully isolates China, which has cornered the market on rare earths, but is an oil importer.

Trump has basically dissolved BRICS and I don’t see anyway of China moving away from the USD, or oil trade being conducted in another currency.

Hadn't connected the dots that far but that's certainly a strong possibility
