Getting rid of the Bad Regime is one trick, getting the Good Regime in is another. And a eff of a lot harder.

Not for us to say though is it? If Iran had free and and fair elections then the support would be legitimate, but there’s a huge contingent mourning Khamenei too so he was revered by many. The thing with Iran is it’s a very young population with 60% between 30 and 39 and 15-20 something percent teens and 20’s so that devotion isn’t there like once and young don’t resonate with wealth, power and aristocracy. The Americans on the other hand voted this piece of shit in as far as we know and they’ve made their bed, I don’t think they’ll ever come back from this in terms of how the world viewed them before trump 2.0

It would be interesting to know if any of Khamenei's supporters are not A) Members of the Regime B) Family members of the Regime C) Business and social affiliates who benefit from the Regime.
There are always hundreds of thousands of supporters of Regimes, almost without exception when that Regime has been despotic and in power a long long time, those supporters all tend to connect in some way to the inner circle.

But probably the largest group are religious zealots who don't reflect the majority of Iran anymore.

I think people need to give it time. And any resistance probably won't come until the missiles stop hitting Iran giving the masses a pause and time to react.

Where has indiscriminate bombing worked in subjugating people. Britain, Germany, Russia, Viet Nam, Jaoan was the closest. In most cases it steeks pooulatiin. Spirit of the blitz thing.

I saw a few clips from Persians posting their phone footage of explosions and they were cheering.

My friend who is from there is happy about it. They hate the regime that much, that my mate say's even if his family die in the bombing it is worth it. I dunno if he really means it, easy to say....but different if it actually happens.

Still, millions hate the Regime. Deep hatred.

Usually happens after a war... Churchill did his job til victory then got bounced ... Truman was the same... Starlin was a hardline communist dictator so stayed on...
