This is the most insightful post on this thread. I don’t follow US politics because I can’t personally relate and all were fed is media propaganda on both sides.

I’ve been in lots of situation where the reality is completely different to the media portrayal (eg Auckland power issues or the current Mount Maunganui slips).

I think the whole US situation is the same. I cannot understand why the US voted in Trump but accept the locals have a different perspective to us here removed from it all and throwing stones from the other side of the world.

The rebuttals are stated in the article that fact check what’s alleged and I wouldn’t know or care where to look to find if they’re correct and maybe Newsom has questions to be answered, that’s for his state to decide when they vote. BBC doctored footage weirdly that didn’t even need to be because it was footage of everything said by trump, just in a fashion to fit their narrative. Here’s somewhere else that calls the claims bullshit made by trump, but you’re right to trust him, he comes across as an honourable guy

With that in mind, this is the level of people against what they’re witnessing, even to the point of 700+ businesses shutting their doors to protest against this. You’re right that Americans voted him in, and because of concerns around their border too but no policies gave them any indication that agents with identity shielded would be patrolling streets giving the impression they’re a law unto themselves. It’ll be interesting how things go in Minneapolis because Maine is next place these agents are being deployed to

100% tariffs on Canadian goods if a deal is struck with China. Europe has told China it’s open to talks and people think trump’s art of the deal going in hard is working and a smart ploy. All America is doing is isolating itself

Yes it was edited in a misleading way - but it was all taken from one speech on the Jan 6 riots.
The issue only came to light because of internal documents from within BBC were trying to address it.

Look at the content the US government is posting to their social media channels... if you want to have a cry about credibility and trustworthiness. Keep it 100%
