I was hoping with Trump that he would change their economy away from war to production nationally and reducing defence spending. However with their nearly 1,000 overseas bases, foreign policy and deep state bought politicians and media not a happening thing. Then their total surrender to Israel carrying out their middle east policy.

That's a decades long proposition to transition to that without tanking the economy, if it was even a consideration.
Defence spending will always be big for the States though. He has done the right thing getting other countries to increase their spending though rather than relying on the US to cover the majority of it
