Wanting to do something and having to get around the constitutional laws, set up to make this outcome virtually impossible, are two entirely different things.

All he’s done is rule out a loophole that your initial post this morning alluded to, but he seems to in quotes like the one in this article mention how he’d love to have a third term. I don’t think that’s rabbit hole material at all coming straight from the horses mouth and I don’t blame them at all being concerned that a flimsy document such as their constitution will be the saviour with all that’s happened and think there’s a genuine fear that January 6 is just the tip of the iceberg

Not sure it will be an election as that map was very plausible in all that we’re seeing with deployments of national guards implemented in certain states? What are we betting on here, that he doesn’t stage a coup or he’s not successful with it?
I’m not fussed, staging a coup is fine.
That's pretty vague though, might need to define what constitutes an attempted coup with all these forum handles on the line here.

I’ll leave the forum for good if a transition in power is smooth. Hopefully they learned their lessons from January 6 and those pardoned have moved on from what drew them to storm the capital hill building and trump concedes defeat finally to 2 lost elections if he loses. As much as I hope your right, I just don’t see it
Well if we’re talking coup then surely tanks being driven down Pennsylvania Avenue, pretty sure that’s what some of the crazier conspiracists on here believe will happen…
They might fear it will happen, could be a legitimate fear, I wouldn't really put it past him to cause a monumental bloodbath to save himself from prison. It would take a lot of complicity within the military hierarchy though, not just a bunch of Qanon clowns and Proud Boys.

If I were a betting man I would put money on someone shooting him in the head before the next election.
Probably right around the time he announces he is going to run again under some special new made up clause.
That hopeful situation aside, they will diddle the next election anyway, look at how Trump tried to get fake votes vs Biden. Already seen the play book. Oh and there is of course the attempted coup on Jan 6th that all his cult ignore.
Then add all the bs he spouts about never having to vote again, the use off the military, the take over of the Federal govt.....the Supreme court....it's so obvious it is barely worth arguing with fools about.
I dunno about any of that, I’m simply of the view that the 22nd amendment stops him from challenging for a 3rd term. Some people fear some pretty irrational stuff, but if you look across the threads it’s the same people scaremongering (for want of a better description) on multiple often unrelated topics. AI threat to humanity, Covid, NRL hating the Warriors, US civil war - it’s mostly paranoia.

High stress life style, little sleep, showing signs of mental decline, I doubt we will have to worry about him anywho for too much longer.
He shaved off some of his life span with Rona (interesting that life spans have reduced post Covid globally, if that isn't worse than flu I dunno what is).
