If there's one thing Trump succeeded in, it was getting more Americans out to vote. Unfortunately for him, a higher percentage of the 23 million newly mobilised voters in 2020 chose Biden but the fact that a largely apathetic voter base is starting to care about what happens in their country is a positive. The US has something like 67% participation of eligible voters in 2020. 67% is the highest in their history I think, it's still really low compared to the high 70s and low 80s of NZ and Australia.
