It's almost like Trump is the extreme form of policies you advocate for. Like less healthcare , less tax etc etc... neoliberal or traditionally 'right wing' policies.

Trump is a manifestation of the natural vector that is right wing politics. There's many others but they all end in the same place, benefitting the uber rich, unequal distribution of wealth and resources, authoritarianism, and many other pretty awful things.

It's a trajectory, and right now the world is witnessing this in many forms.

Let’s check his major policies:

- Tariffs is typically politically left (more taxes)
- Invading countries - is just war mongering neither left or right and politician of the left and right in the US have done it.
- threatening to invading allies (Greenland and Canada)- is just bonkers and actually insane
- immigration control and ICE - Biden and Obama deported more immigrants than Trump.
- over riding democratic processes (targeting institutions, excessive executive orders, etc) - just dictators type behaviour (which can be left or right)
- Anti DEI and woke - right
- general making dumb posts, idiotic speeches, unstatesmanlike like behaviour, arrogance, Etc. - neither left or right, just a clown and a poor human being.

Trumps an idiot and not very right which is typically more hands off with everything. Trumps very into govt intervention (left).

He’s in the wrong party 🤣

Tariffs imply isolationism.. not taxes... who's he taxing? I.e More nationalistic and Right. But yeah you could argue self sufficiency for the left.
Reduction of Corprate taxes.
Pulling Ameruca out of international agreements and organisations.
Cutting environmental regulations to promote native energy production.
Heavy immigration policy ( us v them) I.e look at how he speaks about Somalis...

No, I think hes left or right. He’s not a politician as he’s said a lot of times. He’s simply whatever Trumps thinks is good at the time with no leaning on an underlying ideology.

If anything you could say he’s most like NZ First in being ultra nationalistic and isolationist, flipping sometimes left/ sometimes right. I think that’s driven by an ultimate arrogance (to the point of bullying) in his belief in the US’s right to be world leader based on might is right.

As W2D said, he was initially a democrat prior to seeing a path to election as a republican. No ideology, just Trumps way.

He also is very different to Trump round 1 which was lots of talk and bluster but quite conservative beneath it all (no wars). This term he’s unrestrained in doing whatever he thinks with no thoughts for re-election. Almost like he’s TRYING to push limits and boundaries to create a legacy (rightly or wrongly).

So I don’t think Trump represent any side. He represents Trump. A flawed narcissistic bully that’s unfit to lead.
