Politics ðŸ¤¡ Donald Trump

Of course.

The republican party ran on the policies that they are enforcing right now. Do you disagree? The ICE raids are happening all over the country, yet L.A. is the only city on fire at the moment.

Loud people aren't always the majority.

The concept of law. A citizens right to live in peace. Coherent conversation. Take your pick.
Well if you believe in the concept of law and a citizens right to peace you'll be anti trump then.

Back in 2011, I lived in London, and there were riots.

It all started with peaceful protests against an instance of police brutality. Then it grew as more people joined and both sides escalated. Then it spread throughout London as people with nothing better to do got involved as they saw that they could loot and smash stuff without punishment

It was reported internationally at the time like some sort of noble class warfare. The have nots rising up to protest inequality. It wasn't.

We'd just try to live our lives as normal, except everyday we'd walk past the same groups of local kids that, instead of sitting in a circle and laughing amongst themselves, would be sitting in a circle with a bit of loot and planning their next smash & grab

The problem with a lot of protests is that they start off well, with justifable grievances, and inevitably other groups of people join in and it takes a life of its own. I'm guessing something similar is happening in the US. If you look at some of the flags that are being waved about, it appears that a lot of bandwagoners have hitched onto this one

I appreciate your view, and my replies are somewhat stunted on my mobile. I replied initially around the wider context, not condoning violence at all.

I don't really think that most people are pro-violence, so you're safe there. I appreciate the time you took to engage with me on this stuff.

My whole schtick is just to point out how 'people vs. people' politicians have managed to paint everything, when really we should be thinking more along the lines of 'people vs. politicians'. They work for us, not the other way around.

It's worth repeating - this government borrowed 12+ billion for tax cuts of 14 billion. Which also happens to be money that won't be injected back into, oh I don't know, health, education, welfare, police and armed forces, social investment, infrastructure and on and on and on.

Lost revenue on an already low tax basis.

So while some on here applaud the billionaires creaming it on the backs of other people's blood and misery, let's try and stick to the facts eh?

So much worth repeating I'll post it in the correct forum :)
