The eye rolls are for you. Nothing to do with whether I think IDF or any one else in that particular conflict is good or bad.
It's often said that there are no winners in war. I recall a story my grand father told about meeting and having dinner with a German man a few years after the second world war. Both of them had fought and killed in it. And his enduring memory of sharing a meal and talking to each other was that he was actually not to dissimilar to himself and that if they had met on the battlefield that they each wouldn't have hesitated to try and kill each other.
Now that may or may not have any relevance to
@Bay39er 's experience. Two couples meeting from different countries and backgrounds, sharing a meal, talking and listening to each other is what should be happening more in my opinion. Seems like you think he should have berated him, or worse? I certainly don't think he deserved the type of response you gave him.
