I got my old brain working on the rifle butt thing.

My memory was that he objected to her laughing at him, so he bashed her.

My memory is that he felt she had no right to laugh at him.

I often wondered why somebody would bash somebody in the head with a rifle butt because she laughed.

Then I heard on the podcast that he wanted a blow job from her. So he might have exposed his pecker and she laughed at his pecker?

Now why would an undoubtedly violent sexual offender object that strongly to a woman laughing at his pecker?

A humiliated psychopath? Just asking like.

The podcast reminded me that the hospital stuffed up too, and that was why the jury found him not guilty of murder.

Yeah right, a moron pulls out his pecker, she laughs at his pecker, he smashed her head with a rifle butt, and that is only manslaughter.

Sorry people, that was over 50 years ago and that is what people thought of sex workers.

Because many league players knew convicted criminals through the game, and often socialised with them, I got to know many on the wrong side of the law.

Maybe just me, but I am liberal on prison reform, and if an ex con is trying to go straight I respect that and am non judgmental.

So I have had more than one or three talk to me about life inside Paremoremo, as well as other prisons, because they know they can trust my integrity.

That is how I know about the story of some of Tamihere's conduct inside. I have no doubt he is a genuine scary bastard.

Coulam is still an 'undue risk' but work is going into his potential release this year.

I cannot talk about this guy, I only post it here out of respect for Fonzies message to me yesterday and starting this thread.

Check the dates.

For Fonzies info this murder is in the Bay of Plenty which is the same region and as you can see the profile fits, as does the timing that the Sexual Sadist Killer was active.

This is why I will not say that Tamahere was guilty. Here we see a very strong suspect, and the killing of female tourists ended after Coulam was incarcerated.

I have been listening to the podcast, I do not like the presenters style, but that is not a problem, I decided today to look into it since people seem so interested in this case.

Pretty incredible that these killings were months apart and no one has ever talked about the glaring comparisons from a forensic profiling perspective.

You have dishonest arseholes narking on their mates. Of course you have to treat anything they say with caution.

There is no way the judge allowed the evidence of Robert Harris without making it clear to the jury what a risk that was. Otherwise they could have appealed years ago.

Arthur William Harris is another example. He has so much emotional baggage from his time in the system he is eccentric.

I do recall once that the Court of Appeal complimented him on is legal arguments in one of his many cases. I thought that was interesting. Judges never thank a guy for taking his own case, that defeats the gravy train system.

As you will be well aware, tourists haunts are hunting grounds for predators.

The world over, predators hunt tourists, hitch hikers, and back packers.

In the podcast the narrator mentions how Tamahere gave a woman a ride, and that she arrived safely to her destination, he notes that Tamahere was aware that he had been seen with her by others.

The point is, that these predators plan, organize, and select their prey, they are not called 'serial' for nothing, to be a serial predator you have to have studied your craft and learned how to get away with it multiple times.

The planning starts with choosing a hunting ground(s)............

The only thing is the Police said he murdered them at Thames, when the bodies were found at Whangamata.
However he was seen at Whangamata, with them in the car, near the place where the guys body was found.
I am only up to episode 8.
My guess is that he took the car and the belongings to Thames to put the Police off the scent.
That is a cold calculating psychopath.
I cannot see grounds for an appeal here, but who knows.
if the fecker was never bailed for that horrible rape, this would never have happened.
If he had been convicted of murder back in 1971, he would have been on life parole, and would not have got bail.

A fair question. The Mount is very close, but Tamihere left heaps of evidence on this one.

The latest revelation is the old guy fencing on that Parakiwai Quarry Road, near Whangamata, saw them driving about walking pace up the dead end road. That is recent and stunning news.
He did not see them come out. He thinks he was the last to see them alive.
Prior to that the last person thought to have seen them alive was the hairdresser in Thames.
The old guy described the vehicle, Tamihere and the Swedes correctly.
They did not seem to be under duress.
We will hear more about what Ryan Wolf has coming in the podcast.
What still has to be explained it how he got her to Crosbys Clearing north east of Thames. Assuming that was her with him at the clearing.
He definitely was at the clearing at some stage, he admitted he was, but that is a massive 5 hour hike from the end of the road from Thames.
By that stage he must have murdered the guy and left his body back at Whangamata.
He must have driven her, maybe in a state of shock or even tied up back to Thames, and then about a 5 hour hike to Crosby's Clearing.
My guess is her body is up near Thames.
This might all sound far fetched, but he was an experienced bushman, a very nasty controlling personality, and she might have been in shock.
I think The Police called an expert witness to testify to that possibility.
