Current Affairs πŸŒ‘️ Weather / climate change

I'm sure the climate deniers, anti science folk on here, who all seem to not coincidentally align with the right will have something to say

Loved it but George has to get away from his fixation with the Billionaire Death Cult whatever that is.

He uses great phrases like "some now believe" and "recent research suggests", but doesn't mention that AMOC has changed many times in the past and continues to be variable.

Another case of the science is not settled

And another case of you lot not believing science or fact.

I can pretty much put a Warrior win on there being counter facts and science for every so called this is it moment. As long as scientists are being created there will aways be a moving target and which "news" source you read will determine thinking.

That Guardian article would have been more interesting and credible if George had just reported on the study and left his rich prick bashing opinion in his head.

Is the climate changing - Yes

Has it always changed - Yes

Should we adapt/prepare - Yes

Do we still need fossil fuel - Yes

I love doomsdays prophets, its an amazing microcosm in to human psyche. Not only do you have to ignore the 0% success rate of your movement since the dawn of time, you have to constantly invent villains to justify your existence.

"not believing your bullshit" gets morphed into "Billionaire Death Cult" amazing work.

Nice bit of reading on the twisted freaks that those on the left support

And the same old bullshit from the usual suspects on here - part of the right wing disinformation anti science anti fact grouping

I can’t for the life of me understand how anyone couldn’t have at least some concept that of course fuel pumped out into the atmosphere from the ground at least is a pollutant in some way. That will get morphed into an argument about the necessity of vehicles but it doesn’t change the fact that they pollute. Big industry would be a good start to put strict guidelines around but with their wealth, good luck with that

Pollution isnt climate change and i've seen anyone deny pollution...

Isn’t it a good reason to be considering alternatives though and achieving acceptable emissions? And whether it’s a cause at all, blind freddy knows the storms are stronger and more frequent. Doesn’t it make sense to be preparing for them better with them causing more damage at a higher rate?

Not to these guys. They'd rather cut off their own body parts than admit they're wrong.

Except the answer to that is nuclear. And that’s the one energy source so called greenies hate.

Thats not the case at all. You are confusing insurance data with meteorological. If the same storm occurs annually, but human activity grows, insurance companies report that as increasing storm damage.

In NZ NIWA reports increasing rain intensity, but reduced number of tropical cyclones. Australia too is experiencing a reduced frequency of tropical cyclones.
