2006 ushered in a completely new jersey design unlike anything the NRL had ever seen. The jersey was sleek and minimalist in style using a new template that saw the boxed shoulder designs of past year replaced by a more ergonomic angled cut.
The 2006 away jersey didn't sell as much as the home jersey but can still be found easily on secondary markets although many are in poor condition due to the light colour of the jersey.
As far as players jerseys went they were essentially the exact same of the retail versions but had a heat pressed number on the back. Gone from the previous year was the pronounced players cut taper.
